Thanks again, Tom. Trumpscum must be wetting is pants in glee. This is exactly the kind of attention he craves. I hope they track down this particular douche bag who sent the email and puts their sorry ass in jail.

I'm guessing a Trump operative.

Sadly, it’s most likely one of his acolytes. Not high enough on the food chain to be an operative, but lowlife enough to take matters into his own hands.

Springfield is a nice place, a little college town (Wittenberg) with a decent industrial base located between Columbus and Dayton. Decent schools, competitive high school teams, a perfectly normal Ohio college town. Like Wooster, Oberlin, maybe Granville with more industry, probably a few more. I grew up in a very similar place (Carlisle, Pennsylvania) and I’ve been through Springfield, Dayton and Columbus many times. I expect that some of the folks in the countryside around Springfield supplement their diet with venison, maybe squirrel and the occasional possum, but that’s as far as the non-Kroger proteins go for non-Kennedy diners. This weird GOP shit about pet consumption is nothing but Nazi smears. WHO believes this stupidity???

Unfortunately, I know someone who does believe this. And I was stunned. My aunt’s 80 year old friend who struck up a friendship with me on FB. She seemed like a normal person. A southern Christian lady, so we didn’t have a lot in common, but she was a friend of my aunt and seemed nice.

Today she commented on a post I made about trumps absurd claim. She posted “I’ve heard there are illegals eating pet cats! It’s a fact! “ I answered her that it was a lie and there’s no evidence supporting it.

She emailed me privately a very loooong letter about how she loves Trump because he donated his president salary to good causes and she hopes I’m not mad at her for liking Trump. Well, I kind of am! I’m pissed that she’s posting this shit without a second thought and it’s the gift that keeps on giving in reposts! So maybe I will send her TC’s newsletter so she will see what happens when shit like this goes viral because of people like her posting Willy nilly.

Also having a listen to this disturbing report. https://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2024/09/11/trump-eastern-kentucky

y'see, I've become a total hardass about this kind of thing. I've fired a few old friends for supporting TFF and if I found that, say, a doctor of mine was also a supporter, I'd fire his ass too. I actually did fire a Russian podiatrist for telling me that Putin was a great leader for Russia, the same way TFF was for here ("he is the greatest president ever," etc. and Obama was the worst. I asked him he thought Obama was worse than, say Buchanan or Johnson and he said he didn't know them and why should he and I told him that his statement indicated a level of knowledge he did not possess, etc. I developed an immediate and advanced stage of "fuck this Russian scumbag."

it was also a lot easier to fire his ass because he was also a shitty podiatrist. bad bedside manner. when I asked him what the source of these painful calluses were, he told me it was "a deformation of the bone." it seemed to me there were nicer ways of putting it, especially since said "deformation" turns out to be a common complaint among folks my age.

I was in a chat earlier with a person who "does not like tRump" but is afraid of the "immigration crisis". After I handed him the actual facts about immigration of late (Biden's executive order and the immediate drop in illegal immigration), he still sputtered about not liking Harris. I told him that this November's election is about once choice: the continuance of our experiment with a representative Republic (almost 250 years old), warts and all, OR a dictatorship, run by an angry, failed businessman, who has been criminally convicted 34 times for fraud in New York State, has been adjudicated a rapist in NYC, who has been indicted multiple times in Georgia for attempting to overturn the election in that State, who has been indicted in DC for the same thing, essentially, who is an unnamed co-conspirator in Arizona -ad infinitum, ad nauseum. "But, but, but, it's Kamala!" I've not heard from him since, but his responses to me were telling. There's no fixing stoopid!

Since the 19th century, immigrants have moved into areas of a city when the former residents have moved out, usually enmasse. In Jersey City where I worked with a surveyors crew for several years, deserted blocks of unsellable homes were given a second life by immigrants from India! Deserted streets were once again thriving because an immigrant group wanted to live near relatives and friends!

This is the natural ebb and flow of urban life, one group moves out, sometimes called white flight, and another group, usually immigrants bring the community back to life!

Trump supporters seem to fall into several categories:

1. True believers

2. Those unwilling to admit they were wrong

3. Sycophants attracted to power

4. Racists

5. Oligarchs

6. Malcontents

This unholy alliance is a clear and present danger to America. And they have guns.

Perhaps deeply, but not truly. Anybody who thinks Trump is the Chosen One (gag) or is being told this by a pastor or preacher is being manipulated and lied to. Also such a manipulative religious leader is akin to the "lion set loose to roar and devour"....not even close to how I believe a true Christian, walking the path set by The Teacher, would behave.

Thanks, TC. My point- Donald Trump and Maga are a menace to society. To take a very nebulous statement and turn it into a racist story against Haitians and to cause potential harm to an innocent city is beyond despicable and yet, we are here again for the umpteenth time.Trump is so egregiously filthy in word and deed, I am really beyond all words right now.

Sadly, it is not at all new for trumper white men with assault weapons to believe the slurs told by their press and politicians, and decide to make things right by killing a bunch of people. It's been going on for years now. The man who massacred Hispanic people at a Texas Walmart and the one who murdered worshippers in a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh were both instigated by politicians fulminating about "hordes of migrants" in the same way as Donald did at the debate.

We all have to stay vigilant. Vote early, if your state allows it, absentee (and physically return it to city hall or county seat if possible - do not drop it in a voting box) or vote in person at your city hall or county seat. Your early voting site may be different, check with your city or county clerk. It is doubly important to be on the look out for any Red Hatters trying to intimidate voters - for either candidate.

In Michigan, early voting begins September 21st and absentee ballots mailed out on the 23rd.
