KRISTEN WELKER SCREWS THE POOCH ON "MEET THE PRESS"
Kristen Welker, who has previously impressed me as being a knowledgeable reporter who is mostly politically literate managed to set a new low for NBC’s “Meet The Press, demonstrating she understood nothing from the past eight years on how to interview and deal with the Lie Machine that is Donald Trump. If anything, she wasn’t even up to the admittedly low standards recently established by her predecessor Chuck Tood, which were at least a moderate improvement from his earlier abysmal performances that resulted in a “chucktodd” becoming an internationally-recognized unit of measure of political moron stupidity and lack of talent.
Trump was himself, surprise surprise. Everything he said was a lie, every word a lie including “and” and “the,” and Welker did nothing to counteract or question the flying bullshit he spewed over the set.
Perhaps she was shocked, dismayed, or otherwise overwhelmed by the reality of being in his presence. But when that ding dong from the Cretin News Network, whose performance opposite Trump was considered one of the worst ever done by anyone, Welker managed to say “hold my beer” and hit the same level of disappointment.
I normally don’t watch network news, or any of their “news” shows, and I haven’t watched “Meet the Press” since it was run by the vastly-overrated Tim Russert, other than a couple times to see of Todd really was as bad as people were saying (he was worse). Welker’s failing performance today confirms that I won’t be losing any other irreplaceable hours doing that again.
What is it with these people? Welker is not stupid, though she is another Harvard grad, which does call her actual intelligence into question, given the number of otherwise-unemployable, over-educated, under-intelligent morons that allegedly-best university in America manages to turn out.

I refuse to watch ANYTHING that has numnuts in or on it. From what I saw in another "critique" of it - pretty much the same as the CNN one - as you said! What the he** is the point? Why these kids - because thats what they are, think they are capable of getting something new or intelligent out of him? Why bother! They're just as scared of him as the repubs.
My TV died three years ago and I decided not to get another one as the level of programming had dumbed down so much, particularly in the so-called news and sports departments. Considering that trump is the #1 attraction on the boob tube, that validates my decision.
