First of all Matt G. can go fuck himself (because, according to Cassidy Hutchinson no one else will). Second of all please please please shut the door on the sordid den of the screaming MAGAts and let them wail uselessly into the night. And take away their microphones.

I give this one a like if only for the first sentence.

to be fair to Matty, CH didn't say NOBODY would fuck Matt Gaetz, but only that SHE wouldn't. I'm pretty sure that Matty's been able to have sex with any number of female humans, just not a female human with any brains. or with the emotional strength people tend to gain in their early twenties...and let's not forget the Repug groupies. I assume they exist.

He's actually married now, and she looks like exactly what you're describing about the person who would be interested in him.

It passed, 335-91. As far as Ukraine goes, Jeff Stein of the Washington Post reports "A White House official signaled administration support for the House bill, highlighting that the legislation averts deep cuts to domestic programs and includes disaster relief. The official also said the administration expects House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to soon bring another bill to the floor to support Ukraine. The official provided the statement on the condition of anonymity to describe a position not yet made public."

When or did McCarthy honor the last deal/concession? And, remember, the is CR for 45 days (?).

I hope he still has that thin "spine" and brings a bill to help Ukraine. Maybe that's part of the backroom negotiating.

I have to say that finding out Jamaal Bowman wasn't "pushed against" the alarm he set off - he's on tape pulling the alarm, like one of the 12 year olds he used to have to deal with - leaves me distinctly unimpressed with that guy. He needs to "polish the bench" for an afternoon and get a stern lecture from the vice-principal about acting his age. Democrats are working to be the "adults in the room" and he pulls juvenile shit like that?

The Senate will pass it. Now

we'll wait and ind out what price McCarthy paid Dems for his backbone.

I’ll repeat. Somebody name a current crisis that was not created or made worse by republicans. I have racked my brain and I can’t think of one. Matt the frat brat should be in time-out for the foreseeable future, preferably in a dungeon.

Just one question. Will there be money for the special prosecutor?

Do you mean Jack Smith and his team, Jeri? Yes, they're

covered. Senate just passed

the bill and Biden will sign.

Aww, poor chump

If Gaetz makes his move, will the Dems support McCarthy? Perhaps with a promise from him to bring a bill for Ukraine spending to a vote? Can he rustle up what, 6 votes for it to save his ass?

There's discussion of supporting him with their votes in exchange for a series of rules changes (so he's held to the agreement) to change participation on committees and consideration of bills. As bad as he is, McCarthy is better than any Republican who could win a Republican-only ballot to replace him.

As bad as they ALL are…

The Democrats would be foolish to offer support to McCarthy. If he brings the Ukraine bill, good for him and by all means vote for it, but he's done nothing to merit support for his personal goals.

true, but it would be a MAJOR smack at the Gaetz of Hell group. And it might make the negotiations before Nov more reasonable.

Gaetz of Hell group! Love it!

They're going to get smacked anyway, and, if played right, will take McCarthy with them.

But who would replace him? And how many votes, 18+? to accomplish it? On the other hand, who from the right might just shut down the dumb impeachment fiasco?

Expand full comment

Don Bacon is the Republican name that comes up most often but there are three or four others that might do it. Figuring that a few Democrats, for one reason or another might not go along 18 is probably a decent number. At this point, anyone other than McCarthy and the crazy 15 would probably shut down the impeachment mess just to be done with it.

I confess I would have let the government shut down and screamed to the heavens about Kremlin Kevin breaking his word--and if I were Jeffries and Schumer, I would tell my caucus, that is the answer to any question you are asked about anything.

But I'm not, they wouldn't do it anyway, and here we are.

If it passes, you know who will take it very, very personally and will continue the inflammatory and instigating rhetoric. I don't seen any end to the ongoing right wing celebration of pathological symptomology between now and November. They consider themselves special forces on a mission to blow up democracy and present a bag of what's left to that wailing abscess in the maga cap and red tie.
