Biden is taking crucial steps in addressing Climate Catastrophe. Another step:

' U.S. has inventoried old-growth forests. Will protection be next?

The report is the federal government’s first estimate of America’s oldest trees. Environmentalists hope it is a step for protecting them from logging.'

'The findings, the result of a year-long review ordered last year by President Biden, are likely to inflame tensions with the timber industry over which forests — especially those in the western United States — should remain unlogged. But they are energizing many conservation activists, including those who argue that old-growth forests are vital for storing carbon dioxide that contributes to climate change' (WAPO) Gifted link below.

This is long overdue - when old-growth forests are cut down for lumber, they are replaced with the typical commercial mono-species planted forests, losing the diversity that comes form having many different types of trees and undergrowth to support a diverse fauna as well.....

So, Biden wins some points from you. Is that so, Bruce?

Biden gets a lot of points from me as he should from all of us on the side of democracy. He has accomplished an astounding bunch of good stuff with razor-thin margins in Congress - FDR and LBJ had much larger margins in their Congressional Houses than Smokin' Joe. But - he is too wedded to bipartisanship when the other side has no interest at all, and he is also too wedded to the filibuster and other Senatorial traditions that now are used only to stop him from succeeding. And we need to send Ukraine enough ATACMS missiles to take down the Kerch Strait bridge - if the Ukrainians cannot block that bridge, they cannot take Crimea, and that is crucial for Ukraine's future. Not dozens of them, but enough to drop that bridge and give Ukraine a chance to win.
