Just fuck. The fascists have already made it difficult for poc and others disenfranchised to vote. Coupled with the pure evil of their agenda makes me scared. Very scared.

You know the saying, "all politics is local" never made as much sense as now.

The thugs will cheat all they can. The process will be stymied by these pigs on a powers trip and their frightened white, christian base.

The small ray of sunshine is that tangerine nightmare lost 63 out of 64 challenges to the 2020 election. His lone victory was in Pennsylvania, which had already corrected their mistake, so he essentially lost every fucking fight.

I hope we are lucky ( what a way to run a government. Fuck). The thing that will pull us through is that everybody votes blue, no matter who. Anyone with a nano second of brain power better vote.

No fucking excuses, especially from those who the thugs don't want to vote.

The 2020 election where we had a collective circle jerk was embarrassing because only 60+% fucking voted. Get the fuck off your asses and get to the polls.

Because, if the thugs get what they want, then put a fork in democracy because we are done.

And maybe we deserve that. Civic duty is soooooooooo 1992.

At the risk of sounding like Pollyanna, it's one thing to announce that one won't accept unfavorable election results, it's another to sign one's name to unsupportable statements or altered counts. Having worked as an election judge for now 4 cycles, I'm still impressed with how difficult it would be to actually "steal" an election; the number of complicit people involved is almost mind-boggling. The system here in St. Louis County, MO uses both paper ballots and a scanned/computer tally so that results are quick, and backup is readily available. I don't doubt the same system is in use elsewhere, but the media tends to avoid mentioning positive situations because good news just doesn't sell.

That said, the s***show will continue as long as there are no adverse consequences for those pushing the subversive narrative. Jailing the failed insurrectionist would be an excellent start and some Republicans who know better speaking up very publicly to denounce the lies and liars is essential if the conversation that started when Mayor Daley "stole" Cook County from Richard Nixon and saw JFK elected President is ever going to end.

The Republican Party operates as a crime syndicate--this is not hyperbole. They have a deep cesspool of experience for stealing elections. What other party keeps a well-paid staff of dirty tricks operatives to assist fascists worldwide? Where do you think Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates (Arthur Finklestein’s ‘kids’) came from? Now, our nation is falling to the Brown Shirts. Beware of people who admire Stalin, Putin, Hitler and tRump. The lessons of Modern history carry a sinister message that the RNC is happy to embrace.

You destroy a democracy from within.

Too many don't understand what's really

going on in our country. They've chosen

willful ignorance as their History lesson.

Yet History is always in our rear view

mirror and if you turn the pages of it back

just 20 years to Hungary, Russia and

some countries in S. America you can

see the same pattern that is happening

here. Willful ignorance leads to a

terrible awakening. I hope enough of us

are "woke" enough to the danger that

we'll VOTE with enough strength to

hold the House and take the Senate.

It's like a coming thunderstorm, where you stand outside your house after dark and see the lightning in the distance. You don't know how bad it's going to be, but you call your loved ones and your friends and tell them to shut their windows and put their lawn chairs in the garage. Still, that feeling is there - that you haven't done enough but don't know what more you can do.

If all we had to do was wait for Trump to drop dead, we'd be OK. What scares me is learning every day how many lunatics are in charge, in states where they're willing to throw the country into the woodchipper. And I'm sure George Orwell is spinning in his grave.

I could not Like this post. Sorry, it's just too depressing. How can there be enough people voting in numbers sufficient to counter challenges if so many registration applications are denied?

"Georgia has had mass challenges to voter registrations."

True:

It's uncanny, TC, how your WHO COUNTS THE VOTES MATTERS and Dana Milbank's Opinion, 'In Nevada, election deniers prepare to sabotage the midterms' hit the name vital notes about what we face during and after the midterm elections. He wrote, '. — If the midterm elections degenerate into chaos in a couple of weeks — a very real possibility — then Nevada is poised to lead the way. Indeed, the chaos here has already begun.

The Opinion ends with, 'The American Civil Liberties Union has sued Nye County, which has been making constant election revisions to avoid running afoul of state laws. It will allow those with disabilities to use voting machines; it will run a machine tabulation in addition to its hand count; it will give voters various methods to fix mismatched signatures; it will make talliers swear not to release early vote counts before Election Day.;

'Even so, the still-evolving procedures, poor training for poll workers and errors inherent in hand counting could combine for chaos — and resulting doubts about the validity of the outcome.

One thing you can be sure of: People will cry “fraud” either way. “We’re still dealing with human nature,” said Bill Carns, the county GOP chairman.

We are. And Nevada might be set to bring out the worst of it.' (WAPO) Gifted link to the Opinion below.

What did Trumpernikk say about 'chaos'?

"So many people have been leaving the White House. It’s actually been really exciting and invigorating. I like turnover. I like chaos. It really is good," Trump said during the annual Gridiron press dinner in Washington on Saturday night, according to a White House pool reporter's transcript.
