Just fuck. The fascists have already made it difficult for poc and others disenfranchised to vote. Coupled with the pure evil of their agenda makes me scared. Very scared.

You know the saying, "all politics is local" never made as much sense as now.

The thugs will cheat all they can. The process will be stymied by these pigs on a powers trip and their frightened white, christian base.

The small ray of sunshine is that tangerine nightmare lost 63 out of 64 challenges to the 2020 election. His lone victory was in Pennsylvania, which had already corrected their mistake, so he essentially lost every fucking fight.

I hope we are lucky ( what a way to run a government. Fuck). The thing that will pull us through is that everybody votes blue, no matter who. Anyone with a nano second of brain power better vote.

No fucking excuses, especially from those who the thugs don't want to vote.

The 2020 election where we had a collective circle jerk was embarrassing because only 60+% fucking voted. Get the fuck off your asses and get to the polls.

Because, if the thugs get what they want, then put a fork in democracy because we are done.

And maybe we deserve that. Civic duty is soooooooooo 1992.

At the risk of sounding like Pollyanna, it's one thing to announce that one won't accept unfavorable election results, it's another to sign one's name to unsupportable statements or altered counts. Having worked as an election judge for now 4 cycles, I'm still impressed with how difficult it would be to actually "steal" an election; the number of complicit people involved is almost mind-boggling. The system here in St. Louis County, MO uses both paper ballots and a scanned/computer tally so that results are quick, and backup is readily available. I don't doubt the same system is in use elsewhere, but the media tends to avoid mentioning positive situations because good news just doesn't sell.

That said, the s***show will continue as long as there are no adverse consequences for those pushing the subversive narrative. Jailing the failed insurrectionist would be an excellent start and some Republicans who know better speaking up very publicly to denounce the lies and liars is essential if the conversation that started when Mayor Daley "stole" Cook County from Richard Nixon and saw JFK elected President is ever going to end.
