This poll is a total baffle---what is clear is that NBC is trumpeting the results loudly, which is disastrous. Polls are problematic today---especially if you don't know HOW the poll was conducted (by phone?---where to the people live; phone numbers no longer reveal that, believe it or not :-) :-) . BUT, one has also to take into account the long long process of very very effective brainwashing of the american public by the GOP and other malicious actors with the goal of convincing people that America is in very bad shape, Democrats are incapable of governing, etc etc. If you repeat a lie often enough, people begin to believe it.........
The Louts in Texas believe it. A lot of the people in red states believe it. And it’s not just red states. The threat is real, it will take every ounce of energy we’ve got, (and maybe a billionaire or two).
