Further thoughts on possible legal remedies to enjoin the promulgation (if that's the best term) of Project 2025.
Paradox: If we cannot enjoin them, or stop them before they have an opportunity to dismantle the United States government and the Constitutional order in our society, then we will never be able to stop them legally after they stage their coup because they will control the Department of Justice and the courts.
Some people might say that the only way to stop them is by voting in sufficient numbers to preclude their assumption of governing power. But we might reasonably assume that even if they don't win the election in November, they still intend to [edit: attempt to] seize power regardless of the law.
Maybe the only way to stop them is by prophylaxis: arrest the plotters for conspiracy to overthrow the United States government -- before they are able to execute their plans.
While reading Joyce Vance lately I've been watching for an appropriate context to make the point about conspiracy to commit sedition. I wonder if a retired US Attorney is in a delicate position when discussing such things. I would bet that the Justice Department has been talking about it internally.
