It is like those ads before the nominations when down ticket Ds tried to point out how seriously bad some of the R nominees were, and the nominee would thank them for the extra air time because their voters actually liked the far right positions they took. I would prefer for the two presidential candidates to have had a fair shot at equal air time.
At some point I think we need to stop worrying about the racists, the misogynists, and the deep-rooted ignorant, at least in the short term. They're not going to be swayed in the less than two months before the election, and pandering to them is going to undercut the Democratic message.
