Back in 2016, when Trump was touting his having graduated from Wharton School of Business, fact-checkers discovered that he had really only “audited” classes there, since his academic record wasn’t good enough for him to be accepted there, even with the far lower requirements of that time.
in my head, there was never an actual "witch hunt," since every investigation had SOME kind of predicate. and whenever he talks about the law coming after him for breaking it as being "the biggest witch hunt in history," somebody needs to mention to him that no, there were actual witch hunts, after which the "witches" were executed.
as for your question about how fucking stupid he actually is, I used to think I knew, but all I can do now is shake my head in amazement.
I’m not sure humanity has ever found a descriptor for how stupid he really is, he was born wealthy, I think I read in the NYT years ago that his father started paying him 200K a year from the time he was born, if he had grown up like most of us he would probably have been murdered in prison a long time ago. Karma will come around and bite you when you least expect it, it’ll make a nice meal out of him🤷♂️
I read an article a couple of years ago that if he had simply invested his inheritance in the market, he'd be worth about $12 billion, not the probably less than $1 billion he has now, as net worth (as a real estate "tycoon" he is heavily leveraged and would not get that much in any sales of property)..... All his wheeling and dealing has cost him money, and lots of it.....
That Trump has totally and irreparably convicted himself, out of his own narcissistic mouth, is simply too delicious for words. The old Italian proverb that "Revenge is a dish which people of taste eat cold" has never been more apt. Trump has both feet on banana peels and I can't wait to see the final collapse.
As my Mom used to say, don’t count your chickens before they hatch. But the count begins, finally. Sad that his legacy will be the total humiliation of the repubs, but it needed to happen. May they all go down together, the “I can be a better chump” crowd as well.
Since day 1, Jan 20, 2017, I have counted down the days til we could see the back of him. Then he was gone (for a nanosecond it seems), now he’s back, like the worse political virus to ever hit our shores, our own tin-horn Hitler. How many times have I said, now people will see…
I have to say, willful ignorance and stupidity are epidemic all over the land. Dare I hope again this time. How can I not.
"Trump's Ego Will Send Him to Jail" Dear Lord, I hope so!!! For the rest of his sorry natural life, I hope so. I hope a tipping point on this lifelong criminal will finally happen, and that he will take as many of his cowardly criminal enablers down with him as possible.
I also found it interesting that he only "audited" classes at the Wharton School of Business. As stupid and lazy as he is, I always wondered how he could have graduated from college. Did his father purchase his diploma? That would be likely for the grandson of a brothel owner. Donald Trump is the poster child for "You can't fix stupid."
this was explained a few weeks back. he has a bachelor's degree in business, so even if he attended courses at Wharton, Wharton only appears on a diploma for MBAs. he has, I think, claimed to have an MBA. and, needless to say, "at the top" of his class.
Defies any logic. But then again, it is the sick obsession and phenomena that is Trump. Never a way around it until he trumps himself. JSmith has trifecta in hand.
OH Dave - stables smell so much better than he ever could. Believe me!! Not sure exactly what would be a perfect comparison - but for sure, not the end results of horses!!
Pretty fucking stupid.....ipso facto. I will add that I should cut TFG a tiny bit of slack, except that my little detail just confirms what a loser he is - according to an assistant show runner on "Celebrity Apprentice" Trump is severely dyslexic and thus has a lot of trouble reading. That's the tiny slack part. The loser part is that Trump was not willing to do the work to overcome dyslexia, as many other people with the condition have done. Some people think Leonardo da Vinci may have been dyslexic, and Jay Leno has talked about his dyslexia. But those people overcame the situation and thrived. TFG wouldn't do that and so he has relied on verbal learning and does not read much, a major factor in his astounding ignorance about pretty much everything except manipulating people.....that he has down.
I suspect he was not allowed to be stupid, and learned to compensate for any reading "different"-order early on, with bravado and and schmooze. Observing the flourish of his black marker and the golden designs of his palaces, he clearly would have benefitted more from graphic novels and educational TV shows than from classroom textbooks. And in his day (years before most dyslexia was diagnosed, much less treated), he would have been bullied if he had not become the bully. Tragic for him, and the USA.
So the big question now is "When will Smith bring an indictment?" Every day of delay brings the election closer, especially when trials take place weeks or months after the indictment is presented.
I'll go out on a limb and say that Mr. Smith will have presented me with a very nice birthday present by the time that day arrives. (my birthday being next month).
Someone else said something to the effect of it no longer being a "witch hunt" if we already have the witch, right?
Right!

Clearly, Dumpster's life's work, regarding money, has been to make a small fortune... out of a large one.
Yes, that's true.
I'm really concerned for the Secret Service agents who will get stuck wearing Orange to protect him in General Population.
Maybe they can send some of the criminals from the New York field office.
now THAT would be a truly "delicious" bit of irony, wouldn't it?

His ego and his non stop mouth... let him talk and sniff ... so long as I don’t have to listen.
There are definitely some upsides to being deaf.😁

Regan started the feeding frenzy. Trump is just a burp at the end of the meal.
dontcha think it's more like a Roman purge?
Hopefully.
Perhaps a gasdeoys emission from his bowels at the dorsal end rathe than a burp !
More like a fart.

Trump graduated (in the lower half of the class of '68) from the University of Pennsylvania.

fucking prick.
“Just how fucking stupid is he?”
Rhetorical, right? 🤫
Indeed!
How f*cking stupid on a 1-10 scale?
11.

Salud, TC. Sizzlin’ as usual.
🗽
Tragically the magas think he IS a stable genius!
He definitely has aspects of a stable about him.
OH Dave - stables smell so much better than he ever could. Believe me!! Not sure exactly what would be a perfect comparison - but for sure, not the end results of horses!!
They dont deserve that.
I actually LIKE the smell of a stable. and horses are far more beautiful than anyone who's ever been in any connected to TFF.
Horses are much nicer and more intelligent too, but as near as I live to Grant's Farm, on a hot summer day, the aroma can be impressive.
Yeah - I get that - Just wish he would GO AWAY!
You and almost everyone else I know.
Thanks Dave! I needed that today!
What brilliant person was it who said something like "Trump is a poor person's idea of a rich person and a stupid person's idea of a smart person"?
That would be your fellow resident in Massachusetts, Mr. Charles P. Pierce.
So cool! Charlie Pierce is a brilliant and funny commentator.
Very, very stupid!!!

That's a very good observation.
Learned the hard way (an amazing, multi-talented offspring who struggled unbeknownst to me.).

That would be a great gift indeed and one we'd all celebrate with you.
Iran? I thought it was China. Either way, he's screwed. As James Comey might say, "Lordy, there are tapes."
I still have the t- shirt with the original. I may need to fish it out.
Pretty damn stupid!
As you said, "The irony is delicious". I'm savoring it. Totally enjoyed reading this piece!
