Leave it to TC to pull together such encouraging details! So much free publicity for Trump but not much campaigning in the (loads of) flesh. If the persuadables, got wind of this. . .

Tffg attacked Joe in 2020 for being sensible about Covid and not campaigning out and about. What a contrast with Trump, staying in to save money and have time for golf and donor lunches.

Yes, the airport in Vandalia, Ohio (Cox Municipal Airport) is small and out-of-the-way.

Thanks for the TCinLA perspective. Breath of fresh air---to keep powering on in this mess......

Even if his Truth Social merger actually happens, he can't get any money out of it for 6 months. So that money won't be available to him until just before the election. And who knows whether the stock bubble will have burst by then.

not from any sane lender, because he can't actually pledge them, either. Even if he could, how to value the stock 6 months out? I'm guessing the sureties at least have looked at the idea of a promise to pledge later and gone "naah."

"How to value the stock 6 months out"... true, true, true... and consoling.

Well, this seems like a most satisfactory note to head into the weekend on. Go, Joe, go, and leave the bully in the dust.

Let's just hold out hope that Monday comes with no out-of-the-woods donor who gives him what he needs to protect his properties in NY. As long as that donor knows there will be no repayment, which seems to be Trump's M.O.

One day at a time....

Out of the woods donors are writing checks in the Cyrillic alphabet and the Arabic alphbet? Guess who! Yup!

Despite the better news, Tom, you are quite right. We have to run like our lives depended on it, because they do.

A self-professed “multi-billionaire” with no cash on hand? Hard to believe, but that’s trump world in a nutshell. Too bad his rabid horde of followers are still all too willing to send their money to keep their messiah afloat, but their nickels and dimes ain’t enough for the kind of financial straits trump is in…even the mighty Roman Empire eventually ran out of money for bread and circuses and history records what happened to it then.

Well I don't have a crystal ball but I can see that the RNC and those R candidates running down ballot are going to be financially starved as most all of the $$ brought in will be going to dear TFG for legal fees and who-knows-what. It looks to be to be a colossal clusterpuck imho.

And the more cluster the better.

I think it also has to do with people who are, at best, not wealthy, getting tired of seeing donations through which they hope to elect a President, go to paying his legal bills which now run into the millions. We need to keep hammering on that and make sure everyone knows where his millionaire lawyers are getting their money.

I wonder if most of them have any idea where their money is going -- unless of course Fox et al. are reporting on it regularly, which I doubt.

Hard to say with certainty, but some of his solicitation messages are open about where the money is going.

Good to know -- I fell off the Trumpster lists some years back. If you have a minute, I'm curious about their approach. I'm guessing that it's along the lines of "I'm being persecuted by our common enemies and I need your help to defend our mission."

I was never on their text list, maybe because I was a very late cell adopter, i.e., I got my first one about 5 years ago. For a while my Gmail account (which I use almost entirely for blog subscriptions) was flooded with Trump stuff but it dwindled and finally disappeared.

I read that, in addition to not having the money to campaign, Trump's handlers are afraid to put him in front of the cameras because he's increasingly showing his dementia and senility. I'll take both reasons!

And more good news, Politico

just reported that the MAGA

house, as of April 19 will lose

another member. Yes, their

rep from Wisconsin has had

enough and is resigning.

Down to 1 then.😁 Mike

Johnson might start

sweating.

And the RNC has consolidated all Save America

and 2 others to help pay Trump's legal bills. This could

hurt down ballot races. One

can hope 😉

Thanks Tom for starting my

weekend off with a smile.

Thanks for a feel-good report, Tom. Contrast has impact. Still I think the magas have cooked up a high drama border incident to serve up the minute Biden's poll numbers go up.

Susan Burgess's avatar

..or some other high drama event. Let’s see, who has everything to gain from a Trump presidency? The Christian Nationalists lusting for power, and the White Supremacists lusting for power (those two groups overlap). Add in the Russian leadership, The bone-saw Saudis , China, and Kim, although to Kim Trump is a dangerous loose canon and an embarrassment. That goes for Putin too. MBS has no fear of the big baby and no use for him either if things keep going this way. But maybe he’ll buy Bedminster and save the day. Just musing.

I can't help doubting that Project 2025 is going to lure many swing voters over to the GOP side either. They, like Trump, are saying much too much of the quiet part out loud. Now if only the MSM would be a little more forceful about getting the word out . . .
