The thought of Congress being suspended has ratcheted up my anxiety levels. The criminal Republicans count on Dems playing by the rules or being decent people.

As I recall there was no pony under all that manure when Ronnie Raygun was in office.

Who are the astute political observers?! They sure have bad contact networks or they’re ignoring the signs. Trump is not dreaming up all this awful crap by himself; he is not that smart. But some of his minions have some cruel, atrocious, sadistic ideas that he is happy to go along with.

God help us! Rough ride won’t begin to describe the next four years.

End-stage capitalism has given way to end-stage America. Fuckers.

Holy shit!! I just reread Article II, section III - “…he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper…” . “Them” refers to both or either Houses of Congress. This is seriously scary, especially with the Supreme Court’s warped decisions.

They can throw all the shite

I'm not giving up. My people

didn't. They persisted and so

will I. They resisted and so

If anyone was trying to weaken or destroy our country, they could arrange for us to do it ourselves.

“Each of Trump's proposed appointments is a surprise. It is comforting to think that he is simply a vengeful old man, lashing out this way and that. This is unlikely. He and Musk and Putin have been talking for years. And the whole idea of his campaign was that this time he had a plan.

. . . We have to get through the surprise and the shock to see the design and the risk. We don't have much time. Nor is outrage the point. Of course we are outraged. But our own reactions can distract is from the larger pattern.

The newspapers address the surprise and the shock by investigating each proposed appointment individually. And we need this. With detail comes leverage and power. But clarity must also come, and quickly. Each appointment is part of a larger picture. Taken together, Trump’s candidates constitute an attempt to wreck the American government.” —Timothy Snyder, Decapitation Strike, Nov. 15, 2024.

Never thought Stallone could act at all, so invoking his brother sounds right.

I am asking everyone who is still using the phrase clown car to find something more descriptive of what is happening. This is no clown car we are witnessing. These people are bent on their new form of government and no one is stopping them. I don't think anyone will. There will be no magic in the midterms to save us. These Republicans who are pretending to be against Gaetz aren't going to do a damn thing. Have they already forgotten Rubio and Hegseth. No mention of them anymore. That happened days ago. Ancient history.

I am done.

I have stated on numerous occasions that Joe Biden should have found a way to prorogue Congress. But Democrats don't do those things, which is why we fail so often.

He welcomed him into the WH on Wednesday, I thought Joe was made of sterner stuff, I guess not. I wonder how Joe is going to feel when he puts his son in prison.

He is trying to preserve normal transition of power. I imagine it was his worst day ever, til Jan 20

He had to do what Obama had to do. Put one foot in front of the other and watch as the destruction derby began the process of dismantling everything you worked your arse off building. I couldn’t do it without having a stroke.

Joe is still playing by the rules he grew up with and doesn't understand that the game has changed. His priorities right now should be getting judges confirmed, pardoning anybody at all that Trump might go after, and removing all of the Trump tariffs.

Judges will be confirmed. Scumer has said so. Also Biden is committed to the rule of the game. I personally think it took more strength on his part to host that pig on Wednesday than the hardest thing any of us have done, combined.

You got that right. Well, I hope the fucking MAGAs get all kinds of joy out of their stupidity vote. It won['t last long but apparently they haven't the brains to think that far ahead.

I wonder how Joe is going to feel when HE gets put in prison.

Bet me that on inauguration day, the Hitler wannabe says he wants to thank the previous administration and has no intention of jailing them, and all of the so-called journalists say, he's being more presidential.

More presidential, what a crock.

Picking Doug Burgum for secretary of the Interior sounds to me like a deliberate finger shot directly to Deb Haaland. It could not be more pointed.

Why would anyone ever ask if Trump would do anything? If it benefits him or gives him one jot of satisfaction he'd do it no matter how many it hurt no matter how badly. Others aren't a puff of dandelion fluff in his world. If they don't agree to recess for a short while he'll recess them for good, and I am certain he'll be happy to tell them so to their faces.

I see the horrible extreme appointments as deliberately trolling liberals and as deliberately setting up a test for the Senate. Either they bow to his demands to the extent of approving the worst picks he can dig up, or they recess so he has supreme power flagrantly apparent in his ability to nominate the worst picks, or he sends them all home to suck their thumbs until they are properly chastised. Win, win, win. In that scheme of things, the worse they are the more obvious his power no matter which way it goes.

I knew he would try. I just can’t figure out if KRoberts and Putin are letting him have his victory/revenge lap before they bring the hammer down. Nothing pleases any of the cretins more than the stunned responses that have followed every announcement. I thought K Roberts and P2025 wanted to remake, not burn it to the ground. Same with Putin. Maybe I misread both. Whatever it is, we all lose, and way before any “midterms.

One thing is for sure, chump, Putin and The Heritage traitors, along with the SC are orgasmic.

Grim. This recent Russian v EU spat off the Irish coast might be connected to Trump/Putin/Murdoch’s long term Grand Plan for global corporate autocracy. Or not. Either way Kruschev’s Boys ‘n’ Girls successfully have the postwar Western Alliance on the back foot 🔥

I don’t order vente’s. If that’s the right spelling, I don’t frequent Starbucks but when I get a croissant and hot chocolate. Is this of interest ? Nope . Appreciate remind of Trump’s “big surprise “secret”reveal. Your agenda appears more than salient. Must hold our breath and squeezed legs together so as not to soil our drawers . Ship of fools they be. Regret at the helm and in control of tides.

I’m still shocked that voters didn’t forthrightly reject his desire for vengeance and cruelty, but their big concern is the cost of living and the economy. I fail to see how Trump’s band of cretins will deliver anything but levels of chaos and instability that will undermine their adulation that he desperately craves. I’m anxious about what’s to come but I suspect it won’t be what we expect.
