I'd pay to watch it as a movie, but I don't want to see it outside my window.

When Gen. Milley apologized for the June walk through the park to give 45 his photo op with a bible held upside down (metaphor), I learned something about the General I had not known before. I typically don't pay much attention to generals. Now, General Haig - remember him? He was one scary dude. With the horror of the former "administration" and the yes boys and girls lying their heads off day after day, it was a relief to hear Alexander Vindman and others, including General Milley speak the truth of the situation the nation was enduring with 45. Just like Nixon was looking for any way he could "save face" by creating a diversion, so too 45 - a sick personality from the beginning of his life tenure. I fear that too many gop folks have decided that he's the lemming they're going to follow no matter how high the cliff. They're only too glad to jump from if as long as many as possible follow them. Who knows? Maybe this is a way for the gop to cancel themselves. We can only hope. I'm sure there will be plenty of gop nut jobs calling for General Milley to be fired. Next act?

The unfortunate thing is there are Democrats calling for his resignation for "overstepping his bounds" and "threatening" civilian control of the military.

Everyone with nothing else to say grabs the nearest bit of language in order to have something to say. Talk about all the grandstanding that will take place these next hours and days. There are many dems who are as venal as gop for whom venality has become a way of life.

Something like this happened in 1983. The Soviets became convinced that the United States was about to launch a pre-emptive attack on them. And an equipment failure on a satelite indicated a missile launch from United States, but the key officer, a Lt. Col., didn't believe the data and decided to "await confirmation" before passing it upward.

"...but the key officer, a Lt. Col" -- a Vindman style Lt. Colonel, no doubt.

GeezLouise, TC. Ludlum, Follett, Clancy, le Carre, Forsyth…some of my fave spyboy storytellers haven’t penned anything like Last Train to Crazytown. How does this play out when truth is the subject? Do we have to wait or can we please make up our own ending?

We're gonna have to slog our way through to the end, which I think will take at least to the election of 2028, that we're going to have to beat them like a drum, to beat the crap out of them.

There is no greater proof than this god awful reality show we’ve all lived through — yes truth is stranger than fiction and our own home grown Cheeto bandito needs a lobotomy. What we all need is a strong dose of sanity and the booster shots when appropriate.
