Let’s review Donald Trump’s increasingly strident push for Biden’s impeachment. As his legal problems worsen, he’s gotten even more vocal about calling for House Republicans to act against Biden. This is a growing problem for Quiverin’ Qevin and vulnerable GOP lawmakers, who find themselves in a difficult situation politically as the Trump Toads “pop to” and ask Dear Leader “how high?” on the way up when he tells them to “jump!”
Trump, the day after being named in a revised federal criminal indictment for obstruction of justice - with more charges possible in Washington and Georgia - said this during his Saturday night rally in Erie, Pa.:
“Any Republican that doesn’t act on Democrat fraud should be immediately primaried and get out. If they’re not willing to do it, we’ve got a lot of good, tough Republicans around. People are going to run against ‘em, and people are going to win. And they’re going to get my endorsement every single time. They’re going to win cuz we win almost every race when we endorse.”
He got roaring applause from the collection of Rural Rubes and Lifetime Losers who make up the MAGA Traveling Circus that follows him from hatealong to hatealong now that the Grateful Dead aren’t performing.
Yes, Orange Bobo is sooooo successful with his endorsements.
Just ask Professional New Age Bimbo Kari Lake, or Amazing Confederate Re-Enactor Greg Mastriano about their victories.
Trump also called for linking additional Ukraine aid to whether “the FBI, DOJ and IRS turn every scrap of evidence they have on the Biden crime family’s corrupt business dealings.”
This is a re-run of what Trump was impeached for the first time: conditioning Ukraine aid on Biden-related investigations.
Let’s put this in perspective because it’s easy to just gloss over with the rest of the firehose of bullshit that comes from that anus masquerading as a mouth beneath his nose: the former president and GOP frontrunner for the 2024 nomination is calling for the impeachment of the sitting president and threatening rank-and-file Republican office-holders who don’t support this effort.
I’m sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Trump could soon be indicted for his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection, during which he tried to overturn his loss in the 2020 election to Biden. Got it?
Quiverin Qevin and Steve “David Duke without the baggage” Scalise have tried to walk a very narrow line on this, but Trump seems determined to force them into action. Striving Stefanik has already gotten the message, with her impeachment motion she announced in July.
House Republicans fundraise off Biden’s alleged corruption every day. Quiverin’ Qevin raised the prospect of opening an impeachment inquiry last Monday night, only to back away the next morning. Qevin was also cautious during a GOP conference meeting, telling his crew of morons that the leadership will wait to see what congressional investigators find before moving forward.
Meanwhile, a big part of the House legislative agenda - cutting spending by tens of billions of dollars - is stalled, with the prospect of a government shutdown looming in September. Which will be hung around the necks of every one of the “Biden Republicans” from now till November 2024.
Having Trump threaten the vulnerable 2024 “Biden District Republicans,” who are not rushing to sign onto any impeachment push, is potentially disastrous for McCarthy and the Republican leadership - at least if they think they can retain their majority in 2025 with that plan.
Here’s Rep. Don Bacon, who is generally considered a “moderate” Republican, demonstrating that such a term in 2023 is vastly different from what the term meant eight years ago: “Speaker McCarthy is in the right spot on this. He said last Wednesday that the Judiciary and Oversight Committees will continue to investigate the most recent allegations, which are serious. He said it is too early for an impeachment inquiry. I believe the speaker is right. Let’s not follow Pelosi’s example by cutting corners on impeachment.”
Bacon was referring to former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to open an impeachment inquiry after a whistleblower came forward in July 2019 to disclose Trump pressured Ukrainian officials to launch an investigation of the Bidens by withholding $400 million in military aid.
A majority of Pelosi’s caucus had wanted to impeach Trump before then, but Pelosi held off until the Ukraine scandal broke. And she did it only after a group of “vulnerable” Democrats published an Op-Ed calling for impeachment.
Only the dimbulbs of the Fwee-Dumb Cawcus, led by James “are you still beating up your girlfriend?” Comer and Jungle Gym Jordan, along with Marjorie Traitor Goon, and a fraction of House Republicans, are backing the various impeachment resolutions that have been introduced, although the drumbeat is growing louder every day on the right.
Trump’s latest comments are his most aggressive yet in warning McCarthy about the fallout for the speaker if it doesn’t happen soon.
House Democrats dismissed Trump’s latest barrage as just more inflammatory rhetoric from the former president.
“In addition to his expertise in deceit, deflection and dissembling, we can now add compartmentalization to Trump’s repertoire,” said Rep. Gerry Connolly, a senior member of the House Oversight Committee. “He conveniently fails to cite his own impeachment, his own statements on emails, his own chants of ‘Lock her up!’ This will force GOP cognitive dissonance on steroids.”
All last weekend Republicans were hyping themselves up for the testimony of Devon Archer before the House Oversight Committee. Professional hay-shaker and shit kicker, girlfriend beater James Comer was certain that Archer was the glue that was going to stick all of the pieces of his Biden family bribery allegation together. Fox News and Newsmax went into overdrive focusing on Archer.
Archer and two others were convicted on unrelated charges in June 2018 for defrauding a Native American tribe out of $60 million of bonds. After a long legal odyssey, Archer was sentenced to a year in prison and ordered to forfeit more than $15.7 million. Archer and his co-defendants also must make restitution on the other $43 million they swindled from the tribe.
It didn’t matter that Archer’s lawyer put out a statement debunking the conservative claims of Biden interference, Republicans knew that Archer’s testimony was going to be big, so big that Biden was trying to silence him.
Devon Archer’s testimony was big, just not in the way that Republicans were expecting.
Let’s let Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), a member of the Oversight Committee explain what Archer said in his testimony:
“There’s no connection in any bank records and any recollection in any testimony between President Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings. Like many people, Hunter spoke with his father every day and would often put his father occasionally on speakerphphone to say hello to whomever he happened to be caught at dinner with. Mr. Archer clarified that was sometimes people that they were trying to do business with and it was sometimes friends or other social engagements.”
Archer also reportedly said that Hunter Biden was trying to trick investors into doing business with him by using his dad’s name, but that Joe Biden had nothing to do with his son’s business dealings.
It is important to point out that Hunter Biden was dealing with addiction issues after the death of his brother Beau. That doesn’t excuse what he was doing, but there is also nothing to impeach President Biden for either.
To summarize, Republicans thought they were bringing in a star witness who would cement their case for Biden impeachment.
Instead, the witness did the opposite.
If recent past is prologue, House Republicans will refuse to release the full transcript of Archer’s testimony and will cherry-pick from his comments to continue to build their case for Biden's impeachment. House Democrats will respond by releasing the facts, and around we will go again.
The reality is that Comer, Jordan, and Greene have not been able to build a case for impeaching President Biden. Archer’s testimony is devastating to their efforts.
Each time that Comer has been asked about the evidence against President Biden, he has responded with nothing.
The Biden bribery allegation has collapsed, and House Republicans are scrambling to make it fit into the conspiracy theory.
Speaker McCarthy is trying to appease the MAGAts while not costing dozens of House Republicans their seats.
If Trump gets his way and bullies House Republicans into voting for impeachment, 14 members of Quiverin’ Qevin’s caucus representing districts that Biden won in 2020 will likely lose their seats. It couldn’t be better for such a collection of clucks.

Archer's build up and subsequent fall has caused a shockwave throughout the editorials of the Miami Herald. Schadenfreude is fun!
Someone in the House GOP needs to grow a pair and push back against the orange menace and his lies.
Laughed out loud at the Grateful Dead reference! There are many deadheads in the Republican party though, and I do not mean rock music aficionados.
