has anyone else noticed that the brilliant writers of copy for the Newsreaders (including those with fancy degrees and their own shows) have entirely removed the original meaning of what "begging the question" means? I know there's a Greek rhetorical term for this phenomenon (there seems to be a Greek rhetorical term for everything), but I'm not gonna start looking things up at this late hour. now it means nothing more than "begging for a response to a question." how fucking pathetic is this?
