I feel moved to add that some comment sections seem intimidating, both to read and to consider contributing to the threads of conversation. There’s definitely no less knowledgeability here than elsewhere, but there’s something about your posts and readers’ comments that invites participation, feels safe. That’s a good thing. Could be there’s a bit more laughter interspersed (albeit some very wry…eye roll material)… It’s all very real and upfront. That resonates and is a delight. Again, thank you!
Absolutely, Betsy…You’re right! Nothing prim and proper… And it might have been Tom who recommended the Adam Parkhomenko substack which proffers fair warning first thing… I’ve recommended it to several friends because it offers a great bullet point list of news, is off the hook with language but it’s fine. Can’t say that I’ve ever looked at comments for that account whereas here, the substance and intellectual stimulation is highly engaging . What can I say? (And no, I don’t say that to all the boys… Lol.) Thx, Betsy!

He’ll need an electron microscope to find humor…
Katherine, I think part if what makes this site feel safe is that we can vent with foul language & not be reprimanded.
