You know, when she cutdown all those trees, I used to say to myself, jokingly, “You’re not from around here, are you?” Both of our houses face south, in Georgia. I treasure my shade, and grieve the loss. She cut down her afternoon shade. Now, all I feel is unending gratitude.

Though , I have to say, the two she spared are now in my yard, hence, a little snark, along with contrition and gratitude.
