In fact, it's pretty much ALL show and no go with those rallies - lots of noise, lots of music, lots of cheering, lots of drama, lots of colorful props. His shows are similar to sporting events - a football game, a basketball tournament- or gigantic rock festivals. If this is what the public likes, why should only a charlatan have all the fun and games? Why not get out from that podium or that ice cream shop and put on an EVENT? Bring in some stars, some major performers, some musical groups, sell a little merch and souvenirs? Why not? Joe could still press the flesh, but with a little more oomph and noise! AND he could probably run up the steps and make a grand entrance to the stage, unlike his fat and flabby opponent.
