The follow up I suppose relates to Mr. Hoyer's future as Minority Leader; will he follow Pelosi's example? Clyburn is a fixture and will be there until he is carried out and deserves all the respect he's given but could turn over CBC leadership to the next generation too.
Pelosi is sticking around to help guide the new team through perilous times none of them have ever been around before.
I'm still not that certain myself that Jefferies is the right guy, but a replay of his greatest verbal hits on Republicans reminds me he can punch at close range. But Pelosi's ability to slit a throat and have the victim thank her is a skill that needs to be learned.
At least Jeffries has some guides to whisper suggestions and some pretty strong support players in Raskin, AOC, Khanna, Bush, etc. if they can get past their ego barriers.
I completely agree and wish them well because it would accrue to all of our benefit. AOC in particular has matured substantially in her time in office and become quite a creditable legislator.
AOC's main office is ten (short) blocks away. needless to say (and despite my occasional disagreement with a few of her positions), I have a tremendous crush on her. and yes, I realize I could be her grandpa.
The word is, he's Da Man. Steny Hoyer and Jim Clyburn both endorsed him.
Doesn't get much stronger than that unless it comes from Herself. Thanks.

Hoyer is indeed following her example.

I thnk he and AOC have a ways to go.

That makes at least two of us.
Count me apprehensive re Jefferies.
A rare skill indeed, hahahaha
