This might help. It recounts what happened to a Supreme Court justice in 1804, the only one to be impeached. But he wasn't convicted by the Senate.

Thank you for that link, Ms. Matlock. It was an interesting and informative article. I guess trying to politicize the judicial branch (or muzzle the fiery partisanship thereon) is not confined to the 20 and 21st centuries.
