A friend of mine who own a large Victorian well appointed house in a college town and who rents rooms to students and has two dedicated suites for AirbnB has withdrawn from them already. She offered the two only because she thought some of the students' parents might want to spend a weekend under the same roof as their kids. Now she'll just rent to two more students rather than bother with Vrbo or any of the others.

Today Dilbert was euphoric on BS/TS, claiming Germany was falling in line by electing a conservative. Clearly this moron doesn't know what a conservative is, and clearly he didn't hear Friedrich Merz's victory speech wherein he scorched Dilbert, Elmo and JDV for interfering with their election. Then he reported that Germany would be seeking new alliances and solidifying those in the EU. (Every time Dilbert speaks I wish comedian Jeff Foxworthy would ask him, "Are You as Smart as a Fifth Grader?")

As for Mark Wayne Mutton, his claims about taxpayers wanting their money's worth or not wanting their taxes going to services they don't like, there's an easy response, one I gave a maga associate online. "Your taxes are not being used to provide food for poor children. Mine are, and I'm happy to pay them. Yours are used to pay for Trump's trips back and forth to Florida to golf. Problem fixed." Mutton and others should provide a list of the five things they did last week that would justify them receiving a generous pay check plus ample benefits. Don't even bother with Trump; he can't even count that high.

Love your second paragraph. I wouldn't be surprised if tfg thinks 'conservative' and 'MAGA' are the same.

"What concessions will Russia have?” Witkoff: “I think in any peace deal, each side is going to make concessions" 2025 is on track to win the award for Year of Most Non-Answers. More Witkoff--"There were all kinds of conversations back then about Ukraine joining NATO. That didn't need to happen". What provocation! NATO right on the border And of COURSE also Russia protected itself by invading neighboring Finland when IT joined NATO a year later. I guess MSM forgot to mention that....I mean, all that provocative border, and St. Petersburg only a kayak ride away. And of course who would guess that Russia has protected itself from Estonia and Latvia, NATO nations both since 2004, by sending in people pretending to be Estonians and Latvians, and no one has even noticed.

Couldn't have anything to do with breadbaskety or minerally things.

Timothy Snyder points out the timeline regarding NATO. Before 2014, Ukraine was not asking for NATO membership. After Putin’s 2014 invasion, that changed.

As for Putin’s Russia fearing an attack coming from Finland, it has moved its troops to Ukraine, leaving its 830 mile border through forests and rural areas unguarded.

MSNBC has also announced cancellation of Ayman Mohyeldin, Katie Phang and Jonathan Capehart. All three brought much better value to anyone wanting actual information than the 4-hour waste of your day created by the shows that come on before Nicolle Wallace.

Not real sure Carville is right.

A lot of PO dems out here

and our reps aren't coming up

with helpful tips only

requests for $.

District 3 rep here is trying to

push a bill through the

legislature giving the

governor, yes, Huckabee Sanders, authority to call up

Carville is either spot on or dead wrong. There’s no in between with him. I am hoping to God he’s right.

Is there a Pulitzer Prize for political comedy? If there is, this post should be declared the winner! Deep belly-laughing is good for the PTSD suffered from Dilbert and Elmo’s shit show. Man I sure hope JC is right! Thanks for this one, TC!

Olbermann called Reid's firing "racist." (That's putting it mildly, 007) Joy, to be honest, was never my favorite, but she was better than Tweedy-Bird Mathews, who somehow still slithers onto Morning Squint. I think that Maddow might stay on for a while longer, but Psaki has been a solid performer for the first wave of her time on TV. Can Heilmann reboot 'The Circus' for Wagner?

RE MSNBC lineup shifts, you didn't mention Lawence O'Donnell/The Last Word. If Joy Reid et al are to be on in the 2 hours following Rachel Maddow, does that mean we will get Lawrence only on Mondays, following Rachel? Those are the only 2 I consistently make an effort to watch, being thankful that as a West Coaster, I can watch from 6pm-8pm.

I don't have DVR, don't want it and expect if I did have it, I'd have good intentions to "watch later" then not get around to it every weekday night. Both Rachel and Lawrence are immensely informative about what's happening. We need both of them.

Lawrence's show is still every night.

it came out today that MSNBC also canceled Ayman Molheldin's weekend show, which brought a lot of voices nobody else did, plus his particularly relevant experience as an actual Palestinian born and raised in Gaza and the West Bank and his extensive experience as a journalist in the Middle East, which is why he was hired to begin with. Katie Phang had her weekend show canceled.

Forgot to subtract the 3 hour time difference from 7 pm ET. So the new show will be in the same time slot, and Lawrence will continue at 10 pm ET, 7 pm PT which is when I watch him. I'm usually ready to douse the lights by 10 pm PT.
