Very true, but the oil companies are really putting their thumbs on the scale for the Republicans, expecting that the Repubs will be favorable to the oil business..... Actions like this should have consequences. I know that the MAGA crowd will accept conditions they will not accept from Biden or any other Democrat, as long as the Republicans are in power..... It is time to show the oil folks that short-term political gains may well be offset by serious future political losses in government regulations, and a windfall profits tax - another approach that will no doubt be popular on both sides of the aisle.
