My take - these relatively few men are opposed to thinking, If they can't feel it in their gut, it doesn't exist. So appealing to common sense (requires thinking) appealing to them to think of the effect on the women in their life - also requires thinking.
The people we need to appeal to are the folks who also don't like thinking, but are not overrun by emotion - these are the ones for whom voting is such "an exhausting drain on their time. Get off your lazy duffs dammit and fill out the damned ballot or VOTE in person. Just do it.
