I posted this comment on Jay Kuo's Substack of today, but I'd like your take on it. Is it too far out?

"This is probably too far out there, but: Is Johnson's brand of Evangelicalism tied in with the End Times belief? Those are the folks who wanted the Jews to return to Palestine per prophecy, but the prophecy then continues with Armageddon which wipes out the Jews and everyone but said Christian believers.
If so, could the poison pill be there to try to forestall aid to Israel, as not being in line with the prophecy, without actually SAYING so, which would be political suicide."
EDIT: I was just pointed to this brilliant discussion of that very idea:
That is the scariest thing about him. Not just a "Christian Nation" but a nation composed only of those "entitled" to the Rapture and willing to do anything to bring it about.
well, for 7 years according to the prophecy. After that, it's blotto time. As I will be 86 in 7 years, I don't mind spending my remaining time enjoying the riches of MAGA Johnson. I'll probably be off in my decidedly not heaven-like afterlife before it's over. But I do worry about my grandkids.
Well, we will also have to avoid the Four Horsemen during that time. I live on top of a hill that may be too steep for the Horsemen to want to climb, so I may be safe.
Obviously as Hartmann points out there is MEGA hypocrisy in the positions he takes, and many of those positions may be adopted via political cynicism. But I suspect that he does think he is amongst the privileged heading straight for heaven after Revelations comes to pass and is willing to facilitate that move as much as he can. And THAT is scary
based on what I've read, I'd say yes. the Rapture thing is nothing like as nuts as the Young Earth Creationists, so my assumption is that the more extreme craziness would just have to include the less extreme craziness.
that Rapture thing is actually a hell of a lot more common than someone I'd call a "normal person" would assume.

Yes, he is tied in with the End Times bullshit.

Just remember - when they are raptured, we get all their stuff.....

I'm 82, so I;m even more likely to enjoy their stuff before the world comes to an end.....

Hahaha!
It is basic human tribalism. Goes back far further than our written records.
They are not 'entitled' to the Rapture. Read The Hartmann Report from today. it lays it out beautifully.

The "rapture" isn't real, therefore arguing about who might be entitled to it is a non-starter.
sorry, forgot the sarcasm alert
Don't 33% of the Jews see the light, convert and get raptured, or in some way spared the eternal lake of satanic fire? I guess it's time to head here:

Geez, can't we have some sanity?
It's a specific number, not a percentage. The number is 144,000. The rest get dropped in the fiery pit, personally tossed there by Jeebus.
I don't think anything is beyond reach for a pathetic little man who believes the earth is only 6,000 years post creation.
Of course, the BIG mistake they make is assuming that creation is all in the past - it (and evolution) are happening right now and always will be.....
Kill us all for their "Rapture" bullshit. It might stand up in court if we start taking them out in self defense. Hmmmmm.....
