I can't find the quote but Jeff Tiedrich, who is a genius, recently said something like "Your dog is more likely to be shot by a Republican governor than eaten by a Haitian migrant". And he's right. Noem and Roberts and the rest of these weirdos need significant analysis and serious help. This is some sick shit.

The ones I know received it willingly. Same agenda in some way. Racism, misogamy, greed, skewed religious BS, etc. So many possibilities.

Indeed. And it does seem that being white and/or male puts one at increased risk. For women, being white and straight works the same way.

I worked at a psychiatric facility for young people for several years. One of the markers for being a psychopath was torturing or killing animals. There are people who say "we're all children of God". Nope. Some are definitely the children of satan.

I believe you. The whole notion is so repellent that it's really unimaginable that anybody could do such a thing in the first place, much less talk about it later as if it were some kind of accomplishment, something to be proud of. No wonder these fools find each other so compelling.

One of the interesting things about the republican ticket making up stories about Haitian immigrants killing dogs and cats in Ohio, besides the fact that it shows they are lying bigots, is that if you want to know who's killing pets, it's republicans. As in Kristi Noem, who is certifiable, and now Kevin Roberts, the "brains" behind Project 2025, aka the American Mein Kampf.

I wrote a Letter To Ed ,when Kristi Noem was invited to a local GOP event, about GOP normalization of violence. I received an anonymous snail mail letter ( my 2nd, I’m on a roll !) saying I should be more concerned about the million “babies” aborted….and “liberal media has been editing Trumps words to make him intentionally sound bad.”😂

We tend to forget that in 2012, analysts found Mitt Romney was lying more frequently than previous candidates. Go back to the Iraq War, etc., and you find that all republicans do well is lie.

Lord, they go back way before Romney in 2012. Those Tea Partiers were unreal

Since animal cruelty is the most significant indicator of serious emotional disturbance in children, the fact that we have two major Republican figures bragging of their sadism leaves me at a loss for words. What more do we need to know of say about these deeply damaged people, other than whatever you do don’t vote for them?

It's no surprise, however.

It makes you wonder, "What's next?"

Every goddamn day there is some story of a big name Republican doing something exceedingly cruel, highly illegal, and/or blatantly prejudiced against women, with no regard for the truth.

Every day, what's next?

At least when Kristi Noem offed her dog, she used a gun so the poor thing was dispatched quickly.

I seem to recall that animal abuse was an early signifier for people that would abuse other people, particularly family members. The fact that Kevin Roberts actually spoke up about it tells me he had no qualms about killing the dog in question. That's very disturbing on its face. No wonder he has no problem with a pogrom to scoop all immigrants into concentration camps.

It’s been said often, but at the center of all Republican policies and policy proposals is unabashed cruelty. Project 2025 is the Republican wish list on steroids. Wasn’t if a feature SS officers’ training to raise a dog from puppyhood then be told to kill it?

And then there is the fact that I have never seen any pictures of tffg with animals - other than the AI stuff or the Thanksgiving paroled turkeys at the WH. Probably a good thing considering the latest garbage.

No one knows for sure unless a member outs themselves. Leonard Leo acknowledges membership in Opus Dei. He was instrumental in getting all of the Catholic conservatives onto the Supreme Court. All of those conservatives are members of the Catholic Information Center, a right wing DC think tank. Barr was a board member of CIC, and chair at one time I recall.

Probably likely that membership in CIC and OD overlap.

A guy came to the dining room where I live and asked if he could join me and another person. We said sure. he said I'm going to pray. I said I'll pass. Afterward he said I'm Catholic. I said I've given up on Christianity because there are so many hypocrites these days. He said I belong to Knights of Columbus and we do good works. I said so do I and I don't need anyone's permission or encouragement. He hasn't come back.

Is it some kind of sick initiation into the GOP ranks to brag about killing or harming domestic animals or pets? Like the pig castrating lady senator from Iowa or Kristi Noem and her “untrainable” dog? And considering that Spain was home to the infamous Inquisition, it’s not surprising that’s where Opus Dei and Catholicism were joined at the hip…also home to the Conquistadors, who slaughtered thousands of native Americans in the name of their Christian “God”. (And the acquisition of tons of gold and jewels to finance the religious wars in Europe for centuries.)

Christian Spain fought a 700-year religious war against Islam going back to the Moorish Conquestion in the 8th century. The country was only a year past the final end of that war when Columbus set sail. Spain was commonly considered the most backward country in Europe at the time, since the influence of none of the modernizing events that happened in the rest of Europe over those seven centuries managed penetrate Spanish society. The Islamic society that was overthrown was far more advanced politically, socially and scientifically than the Christian society that won out. Spain has only recently in the past 50 years managed to get past that built-in backwardness - and there is still a significant part of the population who want to return to the bad old ways.

Meanwhile at the UN today, Biden & others are holding on to the righteous road to proclaim all is not lost. How difficult it must be to know what lurks & waits to destroy the world is just a heartbeat away while addressing world leaders without knowing what this coming election will bring...the suspense is almost unbearable - each time I hear it said 'if tfg is elected" I have an awful feeling. I am so sorry Zelensky has to contemplate talks going Putin's way. Hoping the liars lose big this round . Back to getting out the blue vote - no shortage of motivation. Animal abuse ! At least it is exposed.

What to say..... I tend to think Roberts did do this - there was a dog that went missing, never found. I'd expect that if Roberts did do this deed, he'd be sure to hide the carcass to avoid consequences. And one must consider that anyone who made up a story like this merely to impress people would be someone you would not want to meet except with a bodyguard..... I'll just say it - Kevin Roberts is one sick puppy.....
