If I recall correctly, this piece of filth is not too bright. Vice president Harris could eviscerate him in a debate. Bring it on!

I believe he's what passes in GOP circles for an intellectual. He wrote a book, after all. He should add balance to the ticket, since no one's sure if Trump has ever *read* a book.

Yeah, and he didn't use a ghost writer, like Trump did for his "books."

I think I mixed him up with someone else. Vance apparently has an Ivy League education. Doesn’t mean he’s smart, but suggests he’s not as dumb as I thought.

I’ve read elsewhere he’s been picked to be the attack dog who will ram Project 2025 down our throats.

during the past decade or so, i's become clear to me that an "ivy league education" is one of those "memes" (when I use "meme," believe me...I'm being ironic) that no longer mean what they once did. grade inflation is rampant EVERYWHERE pretty much NOBODY ever gets a deserved "C," for example. I worked my ass off to pass my five-credit required Calculus class with a "schlub's D" (the CCNY equivalent of the "gentleman's B"). a D is unheard of. I know for a verifiable fact that in a "classy" NYC public high school, a very low grade will get a parent to come in howling like a...whatever.

and if you have a decent head for memorizing trivia, law school is hardly like getting a doctorate in something really DIFFICULT.

so wherever Vance went to school, I'm not impressed. I mean, like, uhh....speaking of DEI admissions, doesn't white trash qualify as "diverse?"

Vance is very possibly less principled than his wannabe boss. one thing about TFF is that he's the same guy (considerably diminished, but the same basic guy) he was in 2016. that was the year Vance was calling him out for his Nazi proclivities. the capacity of these people to eat vast quantities of the most toxic shit available and appear unaffected by said diet is, to give them credit, medically astonishing.

Apparently he graduated magna cum laude.

Which with the rampant grade inflation of the past 50 years means nothing at all.

Besides I also graduated cum laud I(not Magna) it all depends on how good you are at taking tests, not on how much you learned. Nor does it mean you are not basically an asshole

I think it's an excellent choice from our perspective, because it adds absolutely nothing to the ticket and makes it a pure MAGA play. The results, if successful, would be horrifyingly impressive, but the failure, once the undeclared plurality realizes what is being offered, can be equally impressive and perhaps seal the fate of what used to be the Republican Party and what still, for some reason, refers to itself as the Conservative movement. All the more reason to make a plan to vote and encourage everyone we know to do the same.

Thanks for this eloquent response Dave. I will just add that if Trump lodes this election, Mr. Vance's political career will likely be over...deservedly, IMHO...

Kamala will dismantle him. And I am here for it. He’s trash. Hey! Fun fact! He underperformed Mike DeWine in Ohio by ~19 points. DeWine won reelection by 25, JD won by 6. And the RSCC had to bail him out with $30 million at the end. What does he bring? Peter Thiel? Donny’s already got Elon.

The New Winner of Mr. Obsequious America is! Beating out the former Champion who led the prayer session thanking trump for letting him serve him faithfully. Except the pesky bit about breaking the law. The new one won't hesitate for an instant. And then we will get SCOTUS holding that Vice Presidents are immune to, when they are "only following orders."

The rest of us can move to Nuremberg, where THAT rule got overturned almost 80 years ago.

I am sure the Germans have a multi-syllabic word to describe the feeling of disgust one has in seeing unprincipled and talentless people rise in prominence.

Vance should make an appointment with his doctor. He’s going to need a colostomy bag after Harris gets done ripping him a new sphincter.

A few years ago, we went to Ireland on vacation...there was a poster of Trump's face on a wall there and the caption beneath the face was "Twitter Twat". The cab driver asked if we agreed when he heard the maniacal laughter from the back seat and when we said "yes" he said all of Europe was in agreement...I concur. Europe and many of us in the US are in trouble if this election goes the Repub's way. Pleas do whatever you can to help get the Democratic vote out!!!

That was pretty nasty and exceedingly accurate. Those two are clearly a match made in heaven which the adoring religious zealots will eat up. The zealots never cease to amaze me. I heard a new one about a Mega Church pastor who got his flock to pony up for a private jet so he didn't have to wear a mask or get vaccinated. Keep that in mind when you're in the ballot box. This is a big part of the group that would like to see TFG reelected. Not on my watch. Keep those postcards coming.
