Okiefornian Dreamer-He-Will-Be-Speaker Qevin McQarthy, Steve “David Duke Without the Baggage” Scalise, and Elise “I’m In this For me” Stefanik, and 22 other QMAGAts masquerading as Republicans went to the suburbs of Pittsburgh to announce their “Committment to America” yesterday.
Just the thought of that lying empty shell, and his fellow maggots taking over the House makes me ill. This election is so critical and it kills me that there are so many unaware people. It’s imperative that we get the word out and educate. Thank you TC for your great and informative writing.
The QMagats are zombies. Incapable nor desirous of learning. They are angry that there are Americans that look, act and think differently. They have been shrink wrapped with denial and hate. There is no penetrating this protective layer of bigotry, idiocy and evil.
The only solution is outvoting and out lawyering. There are more of us than them. And the younger the generation, the more that is true.
So, in my perfect world, every American would be automatically registered to vote when they turned 18. And every American would be required to vote. In person, early, via mail-in ballot - whatever is easy and secure. Failure to vote would mean financial penalties. Failure to vote would be considered an insult to all other Americans. It would be viewed as "passive sedition".
And along with that voter registration card would be their National Service Card and an explanation of what the options are to provide the nation with two years of your life.
To get this jump started and to be fair to the rest of us, all older citizens would be automatically registered as well. And the same obligation of voting would apply.
BTW, this is not an original idea. In Australia, voting is REQUIRED by law.
Sorry Bill but I have to say that I disagree with your solution.
Coerced votes are not freely voiced. Your proposition is just a step away from Putin's referendums in eastern Ukraine. Who wants uninformed, disinterested millions making spur of the moment choices that will effect the rest of the nation for years to come? It's a recipe to have every window-licking idiot that doesn't vote tick the box of whatever GoP tub-thumper he saw most on TV or Utoob today.
Many thousands of Australian voters chose to pay the fine as a protest rather than vote for politicians who they feel serve interests other than the electors'. Freedom is being able to withold your vote, if you consider that no contender is worthy of it.
I can pretty much guarantee that if that Australian law suddenly became a "talking point, we'd be hearing that yeah, well...it's is a whole CONTINENT of brainwashed Marxists. that's how fucking stupid they are.
I sort of roped myself into purchasing the audiobook of "The Divider." I hadn't intended to buy it (in fact, I promised myself I WOULDN'T), but it was on such fabulous SALE. and you now what they say about "us" and SALES. thing is, it's a whole lot of fun. I really thought I knew what I needed to know about TFF and his minions, but there's always MORE!
McCarthy also wants fewer IRS agents, so that wealthy tax cheats can carry on as usual. Just tell people that jack booted, armed IRS thugs are coming after them, and they quake with fear.
The idea that your taxes pay for things you need has become overtaken by “I don’t want my tax money going to (fill in the blank).” I suppose cheating is OK if you can point to something you resent having to pay for? Or. . .we could have better discussions about tax policy based on more information about what exactly the situation is.
In 1858, Abraham Lincoln referred to Stephen Douglas's popular sovereignty as being "“as thin as the homeopathic soup that was made by boiling the shadow of a pigeon that had starved to death."
By the way, isn't it interesting that republicans love to claim the Democratic Party stated the KKK and they are the party of Lincoln while they now take the Douglas position that rights should be open to voting? Never mind that there isn't a single republican today who would not have been rooting for John Wilkes Booth.
The only commitment we need from them is to an asylum. Seriously, though, the bit about unborn children and mothers is scary - what is "unborn"? - with no mention of support for "born" children and mothers. And the "mom" railing against everything education 🤬 SEL? Having retired from teaching in public schools, including SEL tied into the rest of the curriculum, I can attest that we aaaalllll need a bit of social emotional learning.
McCarthy is toxic. The GOP lies. I could go on. Glad to see Biden taking off the gloves and hitting back. We need a LOT more of that. Thanks for the good look at the "landscape" and the points to defend, defend, and defend...... Keep up the terrific work, TC. Onward! Peace and Courage to All.
For years, the only dream these idiots have had, other than to return Trump to the WH, is to exert an iron grip around the necks of everybody who isn't a straight white Christian male. This dream exceeds any fuzzy bullshit about Social Security, the economy, blah blah blah. The GQP has adopted the politics of fascism, where the purpose is to destroy all the good things (that came from Democrats) about life in America.
They're attracting an Army of the Stupid and recruiting the fascists as officers. Biden was wrong to call them semi-fascists because there is no such thing - they're fascists. Give them political power again, and as you said, watch what they do.
They have no "plan" to do anything other than end democracy.
They are stupid and evil by choice. I don't care how one is raised or what one's peers have to say. I was raised in a religion and in a political party. I shed the first when I was 13 and the other in my early twenties. I DECIDED to look at life with compassion for others. I DECIDED to embrace a larger more tolerant and inclusive view of humanity.
The QMagats have decided that hate for others is the mission. They have decided to be monsters.
I also often refer to such as 'stupid'. But, but that really isn't truly correct. Some are stupid, as in uneducated, unwilling to be educated although they've been in the "system"---but others are smart (in varying degrees of course). What they have done, consciously, is to pledge adherence to a "cult", deliberately reject science, choose racism, etc etc. For most it is not stupidity but rather choice as you have said clearly in your last couple of sentences. . (It does look 'stupid' to make those choices as far as readers of TC, HCR, etc are concerned, but not to the "choosers") Just my humble opinion.
All thoughtful points, for sure. Thank you. It is about choice.
Please don't think I am hurling the stupid word about as Hillary did with "deplorables". She was right, of course, but the stupidity for me has a much broader meaning and context.
I know CEO types who have made millions because they were smart enough to work the system to the top. One would have to be audacious to call someone that super successful "stupid" for continuing to support Republicans. But I will. It's stupid to endorse someone who has wasted years of our precious planets limited time - all for tax policies. It's stupid to support someone who is a crook and abuser of women for President and at the same time try to hold the children you are attempting to raise to a high moral standard.
We can respectfully debate semantics and the application of words. But IMHO, many of the biggest names in our high tech world who have billions are acting like stupid people. And yes, it is a conscious choice on their part. Which means it's even more egregious. Their values are with power and the power is derived from smart creativity (and some good luck and timing). But trust me, that doesn't make them happy or any less stupid as humans.
So for me, stupidity is not a measure of IQ, it's about common sense and being able to make decisions that are wise for the human species and the planet.
On a personal level, I confess my own stupidity. I was stupid about marriage for many years. Then before I was too old to enjoy wedded bliss, I finally chose the right person. I selected someone who did more than make my heart go thumpity thump. (She did). But she is also loaded with wonderful values. She is a wife and role model. Now that I am so smart about love, I can search my being for some other stupid part. I am sure there several other stupid pieces to find...
Stupid? One who rises to the position of CEO is most likely very knowledgeable about the business being run! However, today’s form of capitalism is canabalised by the raw pursuit of unadulterated GREED!
Well, "stupid is as stupid does," of course. People can be stupid morally and ethically, yet be intelligent in other ways. Knowledge of how to run a business is not an indicator of intelligence. Look at Trump as a good example - every business he's ever started ended up crashing and burning. Trump is indeed no genius - this is the guy who thinks windmills cause cancer and complains that he has to flush 15 times after he shits. But he knows how to manipulate people, how to get them to believe his crap if they're predisposed to do so.
Capitalism has always been about greed. The expression "dog eat dog" has been around since day one. It has always been what it is.
Just the thought of that lying empty shell, and his fellow maggots taking over the House makes me ill. This election is so critical and it kills me that there are so many unaware people. It’s imperative that we get the word out and educate. Thank you TC for your great and informative writing.

I respect your opinion. But simply returning a form with "none of the above" could be considered a "vote" and also make one's dissatisfaction clear.
Requiring participation doesn't need to be punishing.
So what's the difference between ticking "none" as opposed to simply not voting?
I can pretty much guarantee that if that Australian law suddenly became a "talking point, we'd be hearing that yeah, well...it's is a whole CONTINENT of brainwashed Marxists. that's how fucking stupid they are.

Happy New Year, everyone.
I have the book, and - JFC! - I thought I knew it all and it wasn't even close.
Shana Tova! to you and all the other tribe members here.
Happy New Year to you as well.

He had to flush so much because he was probably stuffing documents in the toilet.
