Fantastic, TC! Sometimes exercises in therapy for us turn out to help others also. I gave my husband “I Will Run Wild” for Father’s Day. He’s a fan of military history, and I was sure your book would interest him. I was right! I love it when that happens. I also appreciate being able to read and respond to such a concise, cogent writer. I sure appreciate the pithy comments you post on LFAA. Keep on keeping on.

If he likes that, the others in the Pacific War Quadrilogy are "Under The Southern Cross," "Pacific Thunder" and "Tidal Wave" in chronological (if not publishing) order.

People who get gift books can also write Amazon reviews (hint hint)

I just ordered "Going Downtown", "Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club","I Will Run Wild",Tidal Wave", and "Pacific Thunder". I haven't been reading a lot of books since my vision got so fucked up after cataract surgery. Maybe this will be the prod that I need to go back to the eye Dr. again. I used to read 5 books at a time, I find it hard to read one now. My uncle was at Rabul so maybe I should get that as well.

Wow! Thank you!

Let me assure you, go get the surgery. I got mine (both eyes) at the VA (that year in hell actually paid off) and went from 20/400 to 20/24, about where I was 35 years ago. There really is a world out there!

How does one order a signed first edition?

You can buy a book, and let me know, and I can send you a signed sticker that you can put in the book. The days of giving authors lots of copies for personal use are long gone.

Congratulations!🎉 And a good reminder … self therapy is always valuable even if not monetarily.
