I'm with you Tom. I spend part of each day railing at npr! Eventually though I get smart and write in my journal instead or prepare for antiracism training. It is interesting to listen to Liz Cheney talk about her book and the state of the gop. Colbert had a pretty good interview last night. The gop folks, Cheney included, refuse to connect the dots from their rabid past to what is going on now. The orange cheeto is, as Colbert indicated, an avatar for where the party has come from. She doesn't agree. Oh well, she wouldn't. How could she? Her entire family is implicated in today's fascist gop. She'd have to take responsibility.

Loved how Colbert pushed back on her Trump as an” aberration” theory. She can “connect the dots”. Although she can’t…because she’s smart enough to realize those dots all circle back.

As far as I am aware, only Stuart Stevens has come close to grappling with his party’s history which, inevitably, led to the brown shirts of today’s GOP.

He's the only one I've seen who exhibits actual remorse, but then again he may still be voting FOP because of their disdain for the libs.

He's campaigning for Democrats.

That's actual repentance. Hat's off to him.

Exactly, Linda! Thank you for saying so. I appreciate her having a spine in regards to the January 6 investigation but at then of the day instead of TC's over cooked angle hair it's just Fettuccine and not al dente.

cool.

I hope it achieves what she'd like it to achieve.

I'm pretty sure we don't like the same movies.

I figure I can live with that.
