Once, when summing up how voters will choose their elected officials it was "It's the economy, stupid" and now its "It's the price of a gallon of gas, stupid." Starting to see that everything said before "stupid" is irrelevant to American participation in representative governance and what elected representatives actually do or can control. I predict that the next will be "It's the price of my Fruit Loops, stupid" or "It's the price of my beer, stupid." Seems that I am getting a little titched.
