This sort of crap is what happens when citizens of democracies forget that their primary duty on election day is to vote - over 46% of the eligible voters in the US did not vote in the 2016 election. If even a decent number had added their votes to the ones who did vote, we very likely would have avoided the past 7 years and the corrupt SCOTUS we have now. We are now repenting at leisure.....

Thanks for this refresher Tom. If you're AWAKE, you

pretty much know what's reported in Tom's share.

I just had to let my beautiful

service & hearing assist dog

dog of 16-1/2 yrs, Sadie, leave this plane for another.

I may not be in the best frame of mind.

I have read at least a couple thousand comments over

the last few months from

different Substacks. I am stunned by the relatively

FEW who are really AWAKE

in our country and have to

be reminded on a DAILY basis, the simple civic

responsibility to VOTE in

every election their states

offer and HOW to do it!

Red state, Blue state doesn't

matter the color of your state

stateor your skin. IF you REALLY want to stay free with the rights this country

affords you under this Democracy, then people

better wake the F#@K UP!

Who gives a royal flipping hell

if you think Biden is too old.

There is NO ONE else who has even mewed (sorry cats)

to take the helm of this country and the trash heap it

was left in from Trump and

bring it back up and carry it

forward until HE says he can't

do it any more. You better STAND with him or you're

going to wind up with MAGA!

Biden has an email address at the White House. You have

havea complaint? EMAIL him!

He gets enough he'll do something! The same with the Congress people and Senators. Keep at them. Take

it to them! Stop complaining

and DO SOMETHING!

as somebody who's lost four dogs already and can only anticipate more loss in the not-too-distant future, I can only say that I sympathize deeply. it's a horrible thing to go through.

I realize that, in the case of a service dog, the loss is even greater.

Biden is way down in the polls, and his age is a factor. It just is. The maggot media has been successful in tying Joe to his son's bad conduct, and it will only get worse as the campaign mudslinging progresses. It would be good if Joe kept taking the incoming flack and at a propitious moment withdrew from the race and handed the baton to Murphy, Newsom, Inslee, Ted Lieu, Whitmer, among others. (Sadly, I don't think Harris can win.) There wouldn't be time for the massively funded and protracted smear jobs the wingers work and Trump or any of the other prospects would have nothing left but to keep wailing about communists.

Terrorism has already made us a surveillance nation. We're used to it and know where not to scratch ourselves in public and to comb our hair before going out so as not to be confused with the Unabomber.. But heinous practices that go beyond sharply barbed satire and commentary cannot and must not be allowed.

Good to see you appreciate Hartmann. I used to listen to him on the radio back in the day.

Wish this was a surprise to me. Anybody who hasn’t been watching the Kardashians non-stop should know most of it. Dems don’t have Rupert’s megaphone of propaganda, or any outlet that spews hatred of repubs. Hell, the MSM can’t even separate real news from entertainment (Ala Fox). They know what Hartmann knows, but will anybody broadcast it from the rooftops. Come on Bloomberg, help us out.

Hard to believe the "K" bunch is of any interest at all to anyone. Agree that Dems just dont have a megaphone or if they do - dont use it or waste it.

Yeah knew most of this but then I read TC, HCR & Civil Discourse - so educated!!!

Indeed, they fill in gaps I didn't know existed. Seems that money and social conscience are mutual exclusive these days. Maybe TR shamed the robber barons into philanthropy, but this crowd of billionaire crooks has no shame.

Yes, it was truly unsettling! To think that everything we say on our phones, what we read and write online, even where we go could be eavesdropped/spied on and turned around against us is just creepy and frightening. It is vitally important that we keep our eyes and ears open, do our best to be informed and vote. Also talk to people that have views different than your own, you could be the one that opens a closed mind. (or maybe your mind would be opened to new possibilities!)

Thanks, TC. Alarming but not surprising.

Birth Control = Abortion is the new ? MAGA cry, and even though I’m past reproductive age it absolutely frightens me.

DeSantis signed a law allowing health care and insurance providers to decline care based on their moral, ethical, or religious beliefs. This would include contraceptive care.

In two previous years ,and encouraged by the Florida Catholic Conference, DeSantis vetoed funding for long-term, reversible contraception for low-income women.

The proposed bicameral Affordability is Access Act would ensure access for over-the-counter birth control options across the country. There are no Republican sponsors.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in his concurring opinion overturning Roe that we should reconsider rulings codifying rights to contraception.

Hopefully many will see the extremist “righting” on the wall. The right to contraception will be next. And yes, they will be “watching” you…

I've been saying for a long time that they went after Roe v Wade so they could get Grisold v Connecticut - they were ALWAYS most upset about contraception because that is what really frees women.

Sometimes I find the Hartmann Report too over the top. But on this one I think the trends he bases his speculations on are quite clearly already in motion.

He has tried to warn us for a long while.

This Hartmann Report column is downright terrifying and all too real evidence of the path downward we're headed if we don't block R takeover of Congress and presidency.

I bought 200 1st class stamps just before the rate increase. I'm sending letters to voters right now re August 8 vote in Ohio against state legislature's attempt to change majority vote on a citizen's initiative from 50%+1 to 60%. Expect I'll be sending a lot of letters come November as well. Letters are a bit more expensive than postcards (paper, envelopes, postage) but my hand doesn't like writing in the tighter space of a postcard - I can do many more as letters. Check it out and sign up for either letters Votefwd.org, or Postcardstovoters.org .

I have been subscribing to Thom Hartman and listening to him on Free Speech TV and podcasts for several years. I also recommend him, and his books. He’s a very smart guy that does his research. And like TC said, this post by him should scare the hell out of all of us.
