When all is said and done, these journalists and many others like them will surely be among those considered HEROES.

"We were the only international journalists left in the Ukrainian city, and we had been documenting its siege by Russian troops for more than two weeks. We were reporting inside the hospital when gunmen began stalking the corridors. Surgeons gave us white scrubs to wear as camouflage." I have no words.

There’s is a grief and an anger inside me like nothing I have ever experienced. I’m having difficulty maintaining composure. How does one keep a cool, strategic head that this reality hell show calls for?

Wish I knew. As a nurse I totally lost it with "white scrubs to use as camouflage." Pray for Biden and all our good leaders. Also just joined The Union, townhall at 7 pm EST - Republicans and Democrats across the country joining to save democracy.

It is impossible to imagine this horror. The writing is very clear, but this is a feeling of terror beyond my limited lucky life experience. Heartbreaking bravery and stoicism. ❤️🤍💙

Hey, TC.

"The doctors pleaded with us to film families bringing in their own dead and wounded, and let us use their dwindling generator power for our cameras. No one knows what’s going on in our city, they said." What is the greater need - doctors who are tending to the wounded or a world that needs to know.

Carla's right.

Doctors are humanitarian… they must think the world has more humanitarians than they know and would SURELY send help and resources if they only knew the need.

Hey, Carla. My comment pointed to the "dwindling generator power" and who needed it more in that moment, the doctors or the cameras. Or am I missing the point of your comment?

I know … I was speculating what the Drs must have thought … how best to get more help and resources.

Your response was fine; it's my brain that needs fine-tuning!

Considering the very deliberate and effective targeting of civilians, including correcting artillery fire to get the following shells on target, it is imperative that Putin, his entire entourage, all senior military personnel and all field commanders who ordered the artillery and missile strikes must be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity - as many as you can positively identify, in person or in absentia. They must never again be allowed to leave Russia - it will be their prison.....

Indict them all through the ICC - then no one on the planet can do business with them. We may never try and convict them, but we can "imprison" them.

I just read this account from my email. Thank you for sharing it TC. Mariupol is lost, but the Ukraines will not surrender because of what will happen next … I HATE THIS. I wish with all my being it will stop. 💔😭

I read this on the AP news earlier today and my heart shuddered at the risk these chroniclers of the truth face. They are true heroes.
