I just finished reading Ryan Busse's book, Gunfight. Ryan Busse spent 25 years working to build up a gun company that sold Kimbers and did not include AR-15s. He thought he could reform the gun culture from within since he was part of it. After 25 years he gave up the attempt, became a Democrat, helped advise the Biden Administration about guns and gun policies, and now running for Governor of Montana against Gianforte. Now that's my kind of guy. Jess Piper agrees. I did not grow up in a gun culture. In Oakland, California, if we see someone with a gun, we do not feel safe. We feel like someone is going to either kill or rob us. Busse's book was an eye-opener and I encourage anyone interested in learning more about the "evolution" of the NRA or gun culture in general, to read it.
That's an excellent and revealing book -- highly recommended. An FB friend of mine in MT is a real-life friend of his so I've been following the campaign.
