I seem to recall Judge Juan Merchan's gag orders very specifically stating "or have others.."

$1,000 fine for contempt against Mike Johnson. Plus 30 hours incarceration for contempt against Donald Trump, to be served from 8pm Tuesday to 2am Thursday (covering a period when the defendant is not required to appear in court and which will not interfere with him attending weekend political rallies).

Guess they're lucky I'm not a/the Judge.

Thank you, Craig for this reminder. That photo shows the trumpster leading the parade with Johnson and smarmy following.

I'm pretty sure I saw something about "or having others", too. Cant remember where I saw it.

If only? Right?

Did it really state that…

I hunted down the precise text.

"p2. Defendant is directed to tefrain from: Making or directing others to make public statements about known or reasonably foteseeable witnesses concerning their potential participation in the investigation or in this cnminal proceeding; is directed to refrain from: Making or directing others to make public statements about (1) counsel in the case other than the District Attorney, (2) members of the Court's staff and the District Attorney's staff, or (3) the family members of any counsel, staff member, the Court or District Attorney, if those statements are made to materially interfere with, or to cause others to materially interfere with, counsels or staff's work in this criminal case, or with the knowledge that such interference is likely to result;"

Exactly where is that fine line of definition between "suggesting" and "directing" during the regular phone conversations between Trump & Johnson?

*edit* my cell phone cut'n'paste skills failed me and I had to come back to place the information regarding witnesses (pertinent to Johnson's widely broadcast attack on Cohen?)

Thank you, splitting hairs is a new career field for chump’s lawyers and puppeteers. Just another effort to gum the works. In all our years of existence, as a country, never has there been one so devoted to test and defy every law, tradition, and expectation of a public figure (or even a human being).

In a sane traditional world, Honor had been held in esteem; yet in a few short decades, it has evaporated from the lexicon. No longer having value, shame has also retreated as a deterrent to Trumpish behavior as 30% of the country cheers on the villain in the World Wide Wrestling spectacle we now witness So invested in the villain, MAGA hoards see any opposition to Trump as a direct attack on their very survival, crushed they’d be like a locust underfoot

Be the foot

Dems had better be the foot, underfoot is the only other option. Sorry, Bill Maher, these are’t just policy differences.

Excellent research! The judge has the law on his side to put the amoral orange creatures ass in jail! Fortunately, he’s out foxing the orange domestic terrorist!
