"It’s a constant tug-of-war between moderates looking to govern and hardline conservatives looking to score political points or settle grievances," If there are, in fact, such moderate Republicans, they need to tighten their belts, hitch up their breeches, and tell the crazies to button it. Since this hasn't happened in the two years and some months after the insurrection, I doubt the existence of such a group.

Oh, I think the so-called "moderates" do exist...it's just that the "moderates" are so spineless, rubbery and flaccid that the maggot-brained extremists in the House are using them as handy floormats to stand on so they can remain on their feet putting forth their crazed proposals.

Notice that none of the investigative or pseudo-legislative crap that has been offered by the extremists has A THING to do with serving their actual constituents with substantive policies or legislation that would be helpful in their lives. Nope. All they do is fling red meat to their MAGAt base.

The Lincoln Group may be it. In my family, many remain deliberately ignorant and piously religious. Maybe they are linked…. What happened to humble religious? Gone in a whiff of chump
