"Stormed out of the courtroom." Such an adult. This reminds me of when my

son, at age 6 was told to clean up his room before he

could go out to play.🙄

So, it's 2 strikes in Engoron's

Court. 3 strikes = an overnight stay at their lovely jail. Keep running your mouth

Trump.

So instead of storming out, he should have just pointed and laughed?

Sweet. I hope Judge Engoron plans to increase the fines substantially for each subsequent offense. The next fine should be $100,000, and the one after that should be $1,000,000.

Trump is also demonstrating that he is dumb as a rock. Why would he think that he could say, directly to the judge who imposed the gag order prohibiting him from commenting on the court staff, that he thinks the court clerk is “maybe unfair, and I think she’s very biased against me.” ?

You can't fix stupid.

An egomaniac but also quite demented. A compulsive liar but also racist, sexist. Spoiled little rich boy bully. Liar. Cheater. And it seems hero to republicants and “conservative Christians” everywhere. Rocks are smarter. I beg to differ. He’s not stupid. His followers, worshippers and cult are the stupid ones. May all in the House be defeated next year.

Exactly. Re the House, I’ll do what most everybody here is also doing-keep putting my small dollars and postcard/letter writing time toward replacing vulnerable Republicans, especially the deeply stupid (Boebert, Santos, et al) with Democrats, with a goal of regaining the House majority and expanding the Dem Senate majority, and of course, reelecting Joe Biden, who--though he may be gray and low on charisma--is doing a kick-ass job.

Trump is going to get so slammed in that court. Truth be told, clerks have a lot of influence on their judges, strangely enough. As a young trial lawyer, sitting in the “second chair” (that is, assisting the trial lawyer who’s doing all the talking), one of the first things you pick up on is to always be obsequiously nice to the clerk, obsequious to the point of fawning, even if the clerk clearly hates your client. (And clerks form opinions pretty fast and their body language communicates it--they make no pretense of reserving judgment.) Be nice to the clerk no matter what because she (inevitably a she) will chat with the judge about the case during recess. Plus, judges are very protective and paternalistic toward their clerks. Trump’s lawyers must be absolutely livid with him. Trump’s antics are just digging a deeper hole for him. From a lawyer’s perspective this is all funny as hell. And the judge commenting he doesn’t want to see someone killed? OMG. Serious stuff. That judge is majorly pissed.

I hope the Dems have learned a long-needed lesson. NEVER trust repubs to do the right thing. Beat them or be kneecapped on every issue. They will never cooperate. Just wait for Johnson to prove it.
