I hate to admit my ignorance, but I knew very little about the German POW camps in this country. I learned a lot about the Japanese internment camps. Maybe because they were Japanese American Citizens that were detained.
We live now too far from Manzanar Japanese detainment camp in CA. Went with my grandson's 5th grade class for a field trip there. conditions were horrible and bare bones. It made me so Sad to know we made people live like that.

I knew nothing about the German POW camps…sigh..so much I don’t know in my 6th decade !
