And we come to the finale… EXT. FIELD - DAWN The four Germans ride across the field toward Las Cruces. INT. CHICKEN COOP - EARLY MORNING The chickens don’t like being disturbed as A HAND ENTERS FRAME and takes the eggs. BROWN (O.S.) These eggs are the best.
The Germans, radiated into the rocks, reminded me of the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark when the energy and flames incinerate the Nazis.
Powerful screenplay with lots of movement and force. Its intensity, for me, was best absorbed in serial form. All at once would have flattened me!
Thank you for sharing your work. You packed so much into it.....the issue, the relationships, the frantic focus, the destructive power, the amazing courage and single- mindedness of those riders.
Can you say more about what year you proposed it and any feedback or rational you got for its rejection as a film?
Great read/visualization and diversion, TC .Learned a lot as I wasn’t aware of the German interment camps. Heck, I didn’t even know what an arroyo I is…much to learn.
“The Clock Another Tick”... another one of those details of the moment I love. This is excellent Tom. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Fantastic. Brilliant. Bravo. I so want to see the movie now. Thank you Tom, for sharing this.

It was written in 1995, and there was interest in it as late as 2004. You never get more than "not for us" as rejection.
That’s gonna draw quite a few tears.
Written back when the audience would let you make a movie with an ending like that. No more!
Really? This weekend I watched “Suzume” and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house in the last three minutes. Schmaltzy but it worked.
That's Japanese. I'm talking about Hollywood.
Outstanding, thanks TC. Very, very well done.

Excellent! It would be a good movie to go along with the new Oppie film coming this summer.
Great story! Really enjoyed it! Thanks TC

Many thanks for this. I look forward to each new installment and often was the first reader. I’d love to see it on the silver screen of some kind.
