“I confess that I do not entirely approve of this Constitution at present, but Sir, I am not sure I shall never approve it: For having lived long, I have experienced many Instances of being oblig’d, by better Information or fuller Consideration, to change Opinions even on important Subjects, which I once thought right, but found to be otherwise. It is therefore that the older I grow the more apt I am to doubt my own Judgment and to pay more Respect to the Judgment of others. Most Men indeed as well as most Sects in Religion, think themselves in Possession of all Truth, and that wherever others differ from them it is so far Error. . . .
“In these Sentiments, Sir, I agree to this Constitution, with all its Faults, if they are such: because I think a General [national] Government necessary for us, and there is no Form of Government but what may be a Blessing to the People if well administred; and I believe farther that this [Constitution and national government are] likely to be well administred for a Course of Years, and can only end in Despotism as other Forms have done before it, [only] when the People shall become so corrupted as to need Despotic Government, being incapable of any other. I doubt too whether any other Convention we can obtain, may be able to make a better Constitution: For when you assemble a Number of Men to have the Advantage of their joint Wisdom, you inevitably assemble with those Men all their Prejudices, their Passions, their Errors of Opinion, their local Interests, and their selfish Views. From such an Assembly can a perfect Production be expected?”
– Benjamin Franklin, Speech at the conclusion of the Convention on September 17, 1787
Earlier today, it was announced that on Saturday - despite a judicial restraining order blocking deportations under the 1788 Alien Enemies Act that was last used to imprison 100,000 Japanese-American citizens in domestic concentration camps in World War II - 238 immigrants had been deported to El Salvador to be held in that country’s notorious CECOT Terrorist Confinement Center.
On Sunday morning, after the order was published, cryptocurrency- loving Krasnov ally Salvadoran president Nayib Bukele posted video of the 238 men being removed from an airplane by armed personnel and frog-marched to buses. Once at the facility, they are shown wearing prison uniforms, having their heads and facial hair shaved, and being placed in holding cells.
The men, alleged members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, had been specifically mentioned in the judicial restraining order. However, the judge had not specifically stated in the order that the two aircraft enroute to El Salvador that were in the air at the time he issued the order were to return the men to the U.S.
After the judge made his order, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed Judge Boasberg’s ruling “disregards well-established authority regarding President Trump’s power, and it puts the public and law enforcement at risk.” In a statement released little more than an hour before Boasberg’s ruling, Krasnov claimed the transnational Venezuelan criminal syndicate Tren de Aragua was at war with the U.S., calling the group “a hybrid criminal state that is perpetrating an invasion of and predatory incursion into the United States, and which poses a substantial danger to the United States.” The judge’s order specifically said Maladministration II did not have the authority to use the 1788 act outside of actual wartime.
The ACLU, which filed the lawsuit that resulted in Boasberg’s TRO, said it has asked for clarification about whether Maladministration II defied a court order in carrying out the deportations to El Salvador.
In a statement posted to social media Sunday, alleged Secretary of State Widdle Marco boasted “Under the President’s direction, his administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act to initiate the removal of hundreds of dangerous members of Tren de Aragua, a vicious and violent Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), which has been threatening our nation, conducting irregular warfare, and terrorizing Americans. Hundreds of violent criminals were sent out of our country. This crucial step would have never happened under any other U.S. president. President Trump is following through on the promises he made to the American people. Over 250 alien enemy members of Tren de Aragua which El Salvador has agreed to hold in their very good jails at a fair price that will also save our taxpayer dollars.” IT IS AGAINST U.S. LAW FOR U.S. PRISONERS TO BE JAILED IN FOREIGN FACILITIES!
The ACLU argued that Maladministration II was not authorized to use the Alien Enemies Act against a criminal organization that was not a recognized state. Judge Boasberg gave his order to pause the deportations because, he said, the ACLU had a reasonable chance of success on the merits of that argument.
Folks, THIS. IS. IMPORTANT!! If this is allowed to stand, if the administration is allowed to thumb its nose at court orders, the Rule of Law no longer exists, and the American Republic is OVER. If they can do this to these people THEY CAN DO IT TO US!

1500 felons who attacked the capitol and the police who defended it and set up a gallows for Mike pence were pardoned and set free by kingdonthecon to be his militia. And won’t he be invoking his rights when he’s finally caught!
I am supposed to fly to Spain and Portugal in May for my vacation. I'm beginning to wonder if I should make contingency plans in case I get picked up in Miami on my return. It's hard to fathom questioning if I will be allowed back in as a citizen and a passport holder, but they're already jailing green card holders, and that's really only one step down from full citizenship. I was a vocal opponent of this administration the first time, and am a vocal opponent now. Such are the times we live in these days.
Still shocked that people actually chose this over a much better and much more qualified candidate.
