Supreme Court rules Trump has criminal immunity for official acts

“The Supreme Court on Monday issued its ruling, a 6-3 vote, in the highly anticipated case to determine whether presidents have immunity in their actions, official and unofficial.

“In a monumental ruling, the Supreme Court ruled that former presidents enjoy a presumption criminal immunity for official acts while in the White House, handing a win to former President Trump.

“Trump’s appeal froze his federal election subversion indictment in the nation’s capital, where a federal court has charged him with conspiring to subvert the 2020 election results, from moving ahead toward trial.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling comes four months before Election Day, when Trump hopes to retake the White House, giving him the authority to stop his prosecutions from proceeding and possibly firing special counsel Jack Smith.

“The Supreme Court ruled that former presidents enjoy a presumption of criminal immunity for official acts while in the White House.

The decision hands a win to former President Trump, sending his federal election subversion charges back to a lower court.

“It likely enables Trump to delay the trial until after this year’s election, when he hopes to win a second White House term and stop the case from proceeding.”

We knew this was coming. We hoped it wouldn’t, but… there you are.

There is only one solution: re-elect Joe Biden, keep the Senate and win back the House. Nobody’s going to do that but us. The voters.
