The man is the living embodiment of every racist stereotype about African Americans you know Republicans still believe in their hearts. When they say he’s their boy, you know how they mean that.

We're both old enough to remember how even a single allegation of moral failure was enough to sink a political career. Here we see two utter GOP dirtbags, Mehmet Oz and Herschel Walker, with highly credible allegations of egregious conduct against them, and in another time both would've sunk like the Titanic. But the Republicans are so bankrupt of decency and humanity that being an animal torturer or a hypocritical skank pretending to be the All-American Dad are no bar to holding political office. Obviously both are poster boys for Useful GOP Idiot because at this late date, they've invested too much in these assclowns to repudiate them now.

Seems looking at the misery in Ukraine does not stop deluded fanatics seeking even more death and destruction I hope there is some way that you and writers in this group can contact her and others at the BBC to make sure your views are given the attention they deserve. A lot of people watch the BBC! In August I visited ill family members in Zurich and in Dublin. I was disappointed that the helpful work you, Heather Cox Richardson and others produce is not more widely known in the UK, Ireland and other parts of Europe. I wish I had the resources to disseminate your work. Walker claims to suffer from DID, which is, basically, multiple personality disorder. while I'm opposed to people with psychiatric diagnoses being kept away from fulfilling their destinies whichever way they can, certain diagnoses (both psychiatric and medical) definitely rule out certain professions. I wouldn't want to fly with a narcoleptic pilot. of course, it COULD be argued that a great many senators throughout our history have been functionally brain-dead. but the comments this guy has made about trees and "good air" and evolution definitely argue for his being brain-dead already.

To clarify, I hope that US citizens and commentators can respond to what special correspondents from the British Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC are sharing about the US mid -terms. I quit my subscription to the Economist this summer as I was so irritated by their special reports on the US. I have no training as a journalist and I understand that it is important to share viewpoints even if people committed to Open Democracy find these alarming. However whilst Kathy Kay does laud the impartiality of the impartiality of the election officials , she gives lots of airtime to supporters of former President Trump who still believe his lies and they give no air time to all the great Americans working to get at the truth of what has been happening and to hold former President Trump accountable for the harm he is causing to his own nation and to open democracy everywhere.
Please look at the BBC coverage of the mid-terms and prepare responses that some of us can try to post on the BBC website comment section and send to the BBC?
