I don't think this country can recover from this disaster from the Republiscum party. We are watching democracy's agonal breathing, with the (as you so accurately describe it) the Press Corpse sitting on its chest.

We still can because even if all of the 74 million who voted Republican in 2020 are fervent Trumpistas which I doubt, they are only about 30% of eligible voters and could be defeated by attractive candidates with strong, positive platforms who motivate them to get out and vote. The task may, as TC suggests, be Herculean (one thinks of the Aegean stables) but it can be done. The question is whether the Democratic party can come up with such people and persuade them to run through the muck.

The truth of today’s newsletter make me want to throw up.

Yup. I shouldn't have read it before breakfast. Or after. In response, I think we should all DO ONE THING EVERY DAY TO SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY. Yesterday I donated money. Today I will re-post this column. Tomorrow I will contact my county commissioner about our soaring local COVID rates (hospital on RED Level, nursing homes again closed to visitors, a pediatric death), which she helped ignite by opposing masks and hampering vaccines. Saturday I will join the Heather's Herd meeting to hear David Pepper talk to us about his new book "Labratories of Autocracy." Sunday I will pray.

How I wish you were wrong TC, but I can’t fault your argument, I think we are watching a slow motion disaster, they will cut Biden off at the knees, I can’t even conceive of McCarthy being speaker, he would make Newt look like a saint. Why they aren’t forcing voting rights down the repugnacins throats just like they are with voting rights restrictions in all of the red states is beyond my comprehension. If the Democrats don’t get that done they might as well pack up and go home and get ready to sell the house because this will no longer be a country worth living in. This is so fucked up, and the bastards smile as they are setting this up, including the insufferable two that call themselves Democrats that are enabling this to happen. If it does come down to shooting do they really think that we will forget the pivotal roles that they have played.

You're correct, but I wish I could say that you weren't!

“If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion. One nation under God, and one religion under God.”

If I have a hill to die on, this is it. I was raised by evangelicals whose world had room for only one thing - their imaginary daddy in the sky who spoke through them. Nope. Not going to bow to that. Ever.

We need an anti-trump who can flood the zone with rice krispies. Less presidential refinement, more snap, crackle, and pop.

Biden's doing things right with his trips now. I've liked every one of those events I have seen. Everybody else needs to get aboard that ship.

You do make the prophet Jeremiah sound like Pollyanna but you are right. WTF is wrong with people? Retumplicans are easier to understand than people who voted Democrat and now want to vote Red.

I regret to say it, but I think you are right. My favorite quote from above is this:

"All of them magnified by the otherwise-unemployables of the D.C. Press Corpse."
