Never underestimate Krasnov’s ability to ruin something very quickly. The man really can fuck up a wet dream. He apparently views his national address before a joint session of Congress as his big theater moment, so on Monday he told reporters that tariffs on Mexico and Canada would begin on Tuesday.
Proving that he really is Dumber Than Shit, Krasnov said Monday there was nothing Mexico or Canada could do to avoid tariffs of 25% on imports from going into effect on Tuesday as he'd previously threatened to impose.
"No room left for Mexico or Canada," Krasnov said in the Roosevelt Room, after announcing a $100 billion investment in Arizona from a Taiwan semiconductor company. “The tariffs – they are all set. They’re going into effect tomorrow.”
Proving he knows absolutely nothing about economics and t hat Michael Wolff was right when he told an interviewer on Saturday that “He listens to no one,” Kr asnov said tariffs were easy to implement, to prevent other countries from taking American jobs and money by relocating U.S. companies abroad and then selling products back to U.S. customers. (What the fuck world does he live in that he thinks something like that is even possible?)
“It’s a very powerful weapon that politicians haven’t used because they were either dishonest, stupid or paid off in some other form,” Krasnov said.
No, you dumber than fuck moron, “the most determined ignoramus I ever met” in the words of John Kelly YOU are dishonest, stupid, and paid off. Like every other goddamned thing that oozes out of that anus under your nose, your every accusation is a confession of your own guilt.
The comments took what had been a positive stock market day and pushed it deeply into the negative.
CNBC reported:
The S&P 500 fell 2.1%, bringing its year-to-date performance to a loss of nearly 1%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 789 points, or 1.8%. The Dow closed down more than 648 points after Krasnov’s comments. Bigger losses could be expected on Tuesday if the tariffs go into place.
The Nasdaq Composite slid 3%, weighed down by Nvidia's decline of more than 9%.
All three indexes traded higher earlier in the session, with the Dow at one point up nearly 200 points. Stocks took a notable leg down in afternoon trading following Trump's reiteration that 25% levies on imports from Mexico and Canada would go into effect on Tuesday, dashing investors' hopes of a last-minute deal to avert the full tariffs on the two U.S. allies.
Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said that the country would respond if tariffs went into effect. "We're ready," she told reporters Monday. "There's a level of unpredictability and chaos that comes out of the Oval Office, and we will be dealing with it."
Mexico has stepped up anti-drug efforts and sent thousands of troops to bolster border security in compliance with its promise to Trump. Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum, said Monday her government was calm as it awaited Trump's decision, adding that Mexico would respond if tariffs were imposed. "We have a plan B, C, D," Sheinbaum said, declining to provide details.
None of these are going to be good news for America.
Canada’s oil and gas is what 34% of the cars and trucks in America have in their gas tanks. They can send us back to the days of November 11973 and 2-hour gas lines to get 5 gallons within a week. That’s not to mention what they can do to the auto industry.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a 25 per cent retaliatory tariff on American goods when Krasnov signed the executive order. The immediate counter-tariffs would impact $30 billion worth of goods starting the day the U.S. tariffs kick in, and sweeping tariffs across $125 billion worth of American products will take effect three weeks later. Goods that would face duties include American beer, wine, bourbon, fruit, fruit juices and vegetables, as well as consumer products like household appliances, furniture and sporting goods. Materials like lumber and plastic would also be included.
A 25% tariff on liquor from Canada and Mexico could lead to a loss of 31,000 U.S. jobs, according to the Distilled Spirits Council. The U.S. imported $5.2 billion of tequila from Mexico and $622 million of Canadian spirits last year, according to the council. Krasnov doesn’t drink, so he probably paid no attention to this one.
And then there’s the f act that Canada has already said they will target the American liquor industry, which is almost all in Red States. “Tariffs on spirits products from Canada and Mexico will jeopardize the industry’s contribution to the U.S. economy,” Chris Swonger, CEO of the council, said in a statement. “We are concerned that Canadian stores may take U.S. spirits products off their shelves again and also fear that American whiskey will become entangled in a new round of retaliatory tariffs.”

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said the province’s liquor stores would remove American products from the shelves at the LCBO — the province’s alcohol wholesaler — and remove American products from its catalogue so that Ontario-based restaurants and sellers can’t order or restock them. The products Ford said he would take aim at amounts to nearly $1 billion worth of booze sold at the LCBO each year. Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Manitoba following Ford.
n addition to pulling American liquor from the shelves at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch, British Columbia Premier David Eby said he would direct the branch to immediately stop buying American liquor from red states.
Premier Tim Houston said Nova Scotia will limit access to provincial procurement for American businesses and would look for opportunities to cancel existing contracts with American companies. His government also announced plans to double the tolls for commercial vehicles from the United States.
Krasnov has said he wants to punish Canada for a supposedly lax approach to drugs and migrants even though data shows a border crackdown is already producing results.
Internal Trade Minister Anita Anand said the government is waiting like the rest of the country to see what happens. Whatever the outcome, "we will meet any Trump tariffs dollar for dollar and we will retaliate to the tune of about $155 billion in aggregate. We are prepared for any eventuality.”
Krasnov is going to stand before the nation and the world tomorrow night and claim that things are great while the economy is struggling, the stock market is dropping, and America is losing its place in the world.
The stock market crash before Krasnov addresses the country regarding the State of the Union after five weeks of his unrelenting moron fucking stupidity fits this train wreck presidency.

He can babble all he wants. I won't watch because my reaction to him is too visceral. Unlike him and his legion of losers, I do not want to break things.
On the upside, it's great to see the rest of the world not knuckling to him as they go about finding new trade partners as well as forming new defense alliances. The US is no longer the indispensible nation we once were and certainly cannot be as long as half the country is Putinized.
Perhaps the US will come to appreciate what it had before it was gone. The magas will be written off as mind-numbed neo-(Really) Know Nothings by historians long into the future. Only then we can send flowers and chocolates to our erstwhile allies and ask for forgiveness for the folly of electing Cellulite and Flatulence in an ill-fitting suit.
I am performing every act of resistance I can think of and through all media. And to give myself that essential feeling of agency against a monster and a nod to posterity, I am making up a time capsule to bury behind the garage for some to find in the future. Hard copies of news and other information and notes about what I did to fight back as somebodies' grandma. (This is as close as I'll actually get to gardening, digging a hole.) Some of it is subversive, which might make it more interesting should it ever be found and read. All this because I do not trust Big Balls not to scrub everyone's existence from cyberspace.
The liar in chief will be in all his glory backed by his love of gold, golf, & Vlad. Judging by what has happened in just 5 weeks we don't have much time .
Vlad is having greater success taking over The U S than Ukraine..
