What annoys me more than anything TC, is we (our government) rightly goes after little guys like Vogel, while leaving the pile of orange blubber to go on "asking" these nut cases to do exactly what Vogel was doing. Go to the source, dimwits and put the trumpster in jail until his trials are over. If they have the courage to put Vogel into 'custody' strap on the courage to do the same for the source.
I totally agree with you.Look at all of the January 6 participants who have been tried and jailed as the man who created the coup and those members in Congress who assisted him are still free as birds. It is beyond ridiculous that these Congress people are still being paid by the taxpayers and are representing constituents.smfh
You have it, Victoria. I don't care if we rile the feathers of the super rich, or their semi literate base. The United States of America was founded on laws, we are supposedly a Country under the law. SO ENFORCE THE LAW
Oh, what a surprise…NOT! Geez Louise, why is trump still out there free to gin up his rabid base of losers to commit violence in his name? If anyone else without money and notoriety tried that crap in court, their asses would be in lockup so fast, but trump always gets a pass. Is the law that toothless and clueless? It would seem so…
How come the Orange Idiot is never charged with harassment charges when he terrorizes various judges, potential jurors, attorneys and such? Why does he keep getting away with sh*t?Talk about preferential treatment.
Vogel's hearings and/or trial are the ones that should be televised, with close-ups of all frog-marching by law enforcement and a blurring of the defendant's mug so as not to make him a celebrity.
The courts must drive home the price to be paid by psycho sychophants of Trump even if the courts have been unable to grab the Big Lamprey* himself. The contrast in the court management of Vogel's case and Big Lamprey's might serve as a deterrent to some of the other overly zealous who keep seeking to be heroes and martyrs for the maga cause. And as we see law enforcement dealing with a maga, let's have a brave reporter ask Trump how much he enjoys watching the badges (the ones he claims to love) "escort" one of his idolaters. (* Lamprey are slime producers.)
Seriously, what is with these zealots who see following sociopaths as heroic? President Biden works with 25 kids who stammer and Donald Trump consistently throws his supporters under the bus. What gives? But then there are zealots all over the world who like nothing better than to follow "leaders" who throw them under the bus. I don't get it, but I certainly don't want to be gotten.
I got some blowback when I said on a friend's Facebook page that I had no sympathy or empathy for a loyal republican. I have no reason for sympathy or empathy for them when something like this happens, or even when they get sick from, oh, I don't know, a disease they weren't vaccinated against? And being a republican is a disease.
Beyond belief, but believe it we must. These are nasty people. How speedily this fellow gets a trial date while the Orange Spider still golfs freely. Kinda makes you sick, doesn't it? Makes me want to thump a Bible right on the spider's bean. And to think that the spider is only the plaything of far more nasty men.
"Oh, nobody will listen to him . . ." I've been thinking a lot lately about the right wing's book-banning campaigns, and it's brought me to an odd, though still tentative, conclusion: The right takes words, especially the words in books, seriously -- if they didn't, why would they be trying so hard to control access to them? -- but for many of the rest of us it's more or less "Whatever."
Sure, we're against yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater, and many of us believe that maybe it's best not to make certain books available to people below a certain age. But I'm wondering how much of the lamentable delay in bringing Trump and his followers somewhere close to justice is due to our collective respecting of their free-speech and other rights far more strongly than they respect ours. Because it's backed us into a place where I've got my fingers crossed we can get out of.
We definitely have to get out of this space. We cannot let greedy, wealthy, religiously "righteous" and zealots hungry for power destroy our hard-won freedoms. Every one of us can find some way to fight this and we don't have to pick up a gun to do so.
It's only a matter of time and actual death before the Extremes have to wrestle with whether and how Stochastic terrorism fits into the First Amendment.
As if Dumpf gave a flying f*** about any of his followers. Guess what: He's just not that into you!
He doesn't want to shake your hand or have a beer with you, but he’ll gladly take a check.
Exactly!
And yet they think he cares deeply about them all....when nothing could be further from the truth.

BRAVO!
RE: Limiting Trump's 1stA rights?
Horseshit. Has been from the jump. 1stA does not cover incitement to violence. Never has, never will. Not unless Trump gets back in the white House.
Take the damned gloves off and throw the MF'er into jail on contempt charges where he belongs.
Hear! Hear!
And yet they continue to support the scum.
Scum knows scum.
Scum knows and LOVES scum.

The list grows, when will the chump top it??

Now and forever: everything Trump touches dies.
Who says Justice can't be richly served.

Good, glad to hear it. These people are dumber than rocks.
A lot of them are. But there are some smart and nefarious people pulling the strings.
