Clausewitz said that war was “politics by other means.” And the only thing you can predict in war is that events will happen in unpredictable ways, in which victory goes to those who work hard and prepare themselves to seize the opportunity when it comes.
All I can say is…take note fascist “one party police state” Republican Party. Ignore and scorn what a woman’s rights mean to women….and men….at your peril. Rage just showed up at the voting polls in Kansas.
Let's hope this analysis is as excellent and correct as it looks! I was just talking to my son about Clausewitz as 'the god of ordered battle' as opposed to 'to the god of furious battle'; in Nordic mythology represented by the gods Tyr and Tor respectively. For all atrocity and destruction furious battle can achieve, it tends to lose thought and perspective.
IN KANSAS -- 30% plus registered Republicans voted against the Republican amendment, which would have led to banning abortions according to NBC News National Political Correspondent Steve Kornacki this morning -- 30% of registered Republicans -- GET THAT, TC! And what about the more than 900,000 Kansans (Jayhawkers) who came out to vote in the primary? It's a record!
posted on LFAA's forum. Please spread the news...Republican voters can be won over. Many of them care about the truth, the facts -- abortion rights, all of our constitutional rights, free and fair elections and justice for all, including for the former president of the USA.
There is also a an argument that Kansas Republicans are still more "traditional Republican" than they are "Trumpublican" which I think can be seen in the results of the past few elections since Trump came down the escalator.
TC, That was some ride down the escalator, with the off-the shoulder exotic dancer behind him. Oh, I would love to see the horror trailer of that downward trajectory you will create for the midterms. Oh, yes, I would.
Did you see the email reply I received from Lopate? He thanked me and indicated that they were working on having a return performance with Cleaver. Another great interview ahead. Lots to look forward to.
What a relief to hear the news this morning! Of course in the midst some truly awful candidates won their primaries for governor, ag's and sos's. But hey! If people can keep paying attention, learning what the gop is doing, being aware of the dirty tricks, the propaganda, the outright lies, etc, and if the news media make abundantly clear just what is going on vis a vis the charade of lies sent by text/calls, and people of good will pulling together then the 2022 election may send more gop candidates home than to statehouses and the congress. But . . . there's lots of work to do through November 8.
well, yeah! what I find a little unsettling is the extent to which a lot of people I was talking to thought that the amendment was a done deal. of course, those people are all denizens of NYC, where we tend to think that anybody not on one of the coasts is stupid. but having spent a lot of my summer life in Detroit, I do sorta know that there are plenty of reasonably intelligent people in such places; in Ann Arbor, a lot of folks are pretty fucking smart. now I won't deny that driving through Kansas is like a bad dream that seems never to end (at least on Route 80), but it seems like even in Kansas, people don't want an angry human boil like that lying, barely literate fuck Alito to dictate what their personal lives look like. as much as I loathe the NYT op-ed page, Sarah Smarsh has a nice piece about this today, and after seeing her on a Book TV talk a few years back, I'd follow Sarah Smarsh just about anywhere....
Absolutely…Sizzlin’ TC, sizzlin’!
It is Midway!

Unita. 🗽
This:
"90% of any victory is just showing the hell up. Doing what it takes to do that.
We can do this!"

Yes, he emailed me and requested a copy of Tidal Wave - I sent him the PDF Proof copy.
is the show on a podcast?
Yes, look it up in archives - probably on page 3 or 4 now.
KANSAS! Thank you 🙏🏻 to all the people I don’t know and all the people I once worked with in Kansas. 💥❤️🤍💙💥

I-80 goes through Nebraska - same problem. :-) (I know this well from many back-and-forths from Chicago to the coast back in the day)
