This past Tuesday, the Senate voted to approve the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act on a bipartisan vote of 69-30 - Mitch McConnell voted yes!
We keep repeating it, over and over again. This is one of the clearest arguments I've ever seen for why the bill makes sense. It's unfortunate that no politicians will read it or act on it and is equally unfortunate that the obvious remedies for the deficit (improved enforcement of current tax law, removal of the income cap on OASDI taxes and increased taxes for people with income over $1M) won't see the light of day either.
My goodness! Thank you TC. I have never understood the national debt talking points from various prognosticators. You have given me much comfort in sharing your knowledge of the true nature of the national debt versus the national GDP. Why aren't democratic spokespeople clarifying your information for the public? Such relief!
I am not publishing yet. Learning my way around and not sure I have enough material . Will let you know when I get started. I did not realize that my account would be public ally attached to my name. I may need to delete the account and start over when I am ready. In the meantime, I enjoy your work.
Proceed onward, Andrea. I sat on my assets for three months thinking about it and then started earlier than I thought I was ready. There's nothing like the terror of the deadline to bring forth creative energy.
Yes. Investment. Give me a hammer to pound that into the heads of critics that hide behind their political goals. Their criticism holds no support of the People. “Vichy Dems”. May they wriggle on their slippery slope like the snakes they are. Get outta ‘da way.
I loved your take on the con man mitch, yea you got that right, he’s a soulless bastard alright. I keep waiting for the devil to call in his chits, it will happen sure as the sun will rise.
As to the other 2 repugnigans who act like nobody notices which side they’re really on, the hell with them. I saw the reverend Barber the other day and what he said made sense to me, he said that we should forget about either of the infrastructure bills until after we get both voting rights bills passed, those 2 idiots have a lot that they are planning on bringing home in one of the bills. If they don’t get voting rights over the line we’re not going to have a country that we will want to live in anyway. Just like the house members that don’t want to have to explain to their wealthy donors that their taxes are going up, we have to hold their feet up the fire to get them to act in a way that benefits all of us. Need a light?
NOW I get it. Thank You. But how do we get 330 million others to get it?

so true - good luck to both you and MaryPat in sending it to your reps.
I will share it right now. Maybe print a copy for my treasonous Representative.
Good idea, I have a new Rep since I moved; one hopes she might listen to reason.
"The National Debt for Dummies!" This no-nonsense explanation should be put out as a Public Service Announcement! Thanks, TC.
I agree with Mary Pat and Dave. EVERYONE needs to read this. I will do my part.
Manchin and Sinema lack intelligence, common sense, and the capacity to comprehend how history will reflect their choices.
The stack is growing, TC. Very organic. No fake fertilizer on your posts.
Getting every post out to other like minded people hungry for clear perspective.
Blessings!

Pelosi has some tread on her boots.
Love your work, TC! Thank you for your continued diligence!
Flattery will get you *everywhere*. :-)
