THE KRAZY SHIT CONTINUES
There are 288 days to the mid-terms. They can’t come too soon. Please, Donnie Dimbulb - keep doing crazy shit so you lose even worse.
Computer update: Monday I will be the proud owner of a new laptop. Fortunately my IT guys are able to get hold of some real bargains and this is one of them. So next week things should return to normal at some point.
Some subscribers have forgotten that last year, in response to an appeal for support, that they changed their subscription from monthly to annual (and even to “founding”), and are now surprised to get a renewal notice for $70. For those whose memories fail them, there is no “fraud” being committed here, just a failure of memory of what was done a year ago.
Friday afternoon, Trump told reporters he sees no present reason to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota amid protests over ICE operations. Trump said before departing for Mar-a-Lago, “The Insurrection Act, which has been used by 48 percent of presidents. It’s been used a lot. If I needed it, I’d use it. I don’t think there’s any reason right now to use it, but if I needed it I’d use it. It’s very powerful.” However, the InJustice Department is investigating Minnesota officials, including Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, over an alleged conspiracy to impede federal immigration agents, an extraordinary escalation in the Trump administration’s clash with Democratic leaders there. One of the sources said the investigation stems from statements that Walz and Frey have made about the thousands of ICE and CBP agents deployed to Minneapolis. In reality, the probe is another sad effort by Pam Bondi to keep her job. The investigation will go nowhere because Minnesota officials have done nothing to obstruct ICE. The coward Trump is too afraid to use the Insurrection Act, but he is instead trying to intimidate Walz and Frey.
U.S. District Judge Kate Menendez, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, previously put off a ruling to give the Justice Department time to respond, a move that led Trump to sing her praises. Friday evening, however, Menendez handed down her actual decision - to sharply curtail the tactics ICE is allowed to use in their Minnesota operations. Menendez barred federal agents from “Retaliating against persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity, including observing the activities of Operation Metro Surge,” from “Arresting or detaining persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity,” or from using “pepper-spray or similar nonlethal munitions and crowd dispersal tools” on peaceful protesters. Menendez also ruled agents are prohibited from “Stopping or detaining drivers and passengers in vehicles where there is no reasonable articulable suspicion that they are forcibly obstructing or interfering with Covered Federal Agents.”
A new Marist poll found that only 37% of adults in the United States approve of how Trump has handled foreign policy, Newsweek reported. The results were gathered from January 12 to 13 and showed that 56% of those polled disapproved of Trump’s international actions, while 7% were unsure. “These figures represent Trump’s lowest net approval on foreign policy (-19 points) with the pollsters during his second term, with it dropping from 41 percent in July 2025 and 39 percent in April 2025,” according to Newsweek. “President Trump was not elected to preserve the status quo - he is a visionary leader who is always generating creative ideas to bolster U.S. national security. Many of this president’s predecessors recognized the strategic logic of acquiring Greenland, but only President Trump has had the courage to pursue this idea seriously. As the president said, NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the United States, and Greenlanders would be better served if protected by the United States from modern threats in the Arctic region,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Newsweek. Where do they find these robots? She isn’t obviously from North Korea.
The scum get caught out: Friday, the official government X account for DHS posted an attack on a family whose children were hospitalized after being assaulted by federal agents - then quietly removed the post as it became clear the way they characterized what happened wasn’t remotely true. The post came in response to a video posted by ABC News, titled, “2 children hospitalized after federal agents deploy tear gas in Minneapolis.” The DHS post read: “It is horrific to see radical agitators bring children to their violent riots. PLEASE STOP ENDANGERING YOUR CHILDREN.” Independent journalist Adam Cochran laid out succinctly why DHS felt compelled to remove the post later in the day: “DHS deleted this one because: The family was driving home and got blocked; ICE deployed flashbangs and tear gas INSIDE the car; The 6-month old child stopped breathing and had to be rushed to hospital. DHS did NO investigation & rushed to lie to defend the officers.”
When it comes to ICE, 68% of Latinos think the agency is too aggressive, a Navigator survey published this week showed. Meanwhile, 69% disapprove of the agency entirely. To boot, every single focus group participant gave his second term a grade of “D” or “F.” One man compared Trump’s immigration enforcement to creating “his own Gestapo.” Another declared that “Trump Derangement Syndrome actually has come to fruition. He actually is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
This is how resistance works: A gang of ICE agents ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant—then reportedly went back and detained staff who had served them. Four Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents sat down at El Tapatio in Willmar, Minnesota, just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, alarming staff at the diner, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. Later that night, witnesses told the paper that agents followed workers’ vehicles after closing and carried out an arrest at about 8:30 p.m., as bystanders blew whistles and shouted. It is perhaps little surprise that now more migrant-owned restaurants are telling the ICE goons they are no longer welcome as customers. In Muskegon, Michigan, the owners of Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack said they would deny service to ICE agents after the shooting of Renee Nicole Good. ” co-owner Brett Gilbert wrote: “You are NOT welcome at Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack. You NEVER will be. You will be denied service. You will be laughed at and escorted out. Fuck you. Fuck your murderous ways. Fuck your disregard for due process and our beloved Constitution.” In south Minneapolis on Monday, workers and neighbors at Wrecktangle Pizza went as far as to chase away men identified as ICE agents who tried to enter the restaurant. Staff and community members reportedly forced the officers back onto the street, where agents appeared to deploy chemical spray that was kicked back toward them. In St. Paul last Sunday, diners at Cancun Mexican Grill & Cantina confronted ICE goons walking through the restaurant, demanding they leave. Video showed customers shouting at the officers, and some patrons asking whether they had a warrant, before the agents eventually exited the business.
Trump’s advisers have been jolted by internal polling that showed his ICE crackdown is turning off voters as Minnesota’s violent immigration raids and protests dominate the airwaves. The results, reflected in public surveys, bolstered internal concern about the administration’s confrontational enforcement tactics. The private polling suggested a rupturing of the coalition of independent, moderate and minority voters who were key parts of Trump’s victory in 2024. 60% of independent voters and 58% of undecided voters said Trump was “too focused” on deporting illegal immigrants; 33% said Trump was primarily deporting law-abiding people, as opposed to criminals. An Associated Press poll after Good’s death found that just 38% of Americans now approve of Trump’s immigration policies.
The MAGAts are busy being MAGAts: The tiny charter school where Renee Good sent her 6-year-old son has been forced to conduct classes online after receiving a slew of threats following her fatal shooting by an ICE thug. The threats started pouring in to Southside Family Charter School after the New York Post reported on the school’s focus on social justice and right-wing social media accounts identified the school. School officials said, “The attacks and threats to our school have been very hurtful, especially at this painful moment. At the same time, we have received much support from our community. This moment has been painful but it has also brought us closer as a community.” Southside Family Charter School, where Good served on the school board, was founded in the 1970s and became a charter school in 2006, but its enrollment dropped from 119 students last year to just 26 this year after it transitioned from a K-8 to a K-5 program. “Staff and students prepare and eat meals together,” a school spokeswoman said. “Older students mentor younger students regularly and learn with them as well. Visiting artists and field trips are part of our curriculum.” The MAGAts seized on the school’s social justice curriculum, complaining that students learned about George Floyd’s police murder and staffers were urged to report ICE activity, and a sign notified immigration officers they were not permitted to enter the building without a judicial warrant. “I’m calling for all federal funds to Minnesota’s Southside Family Charter School to be REVOKED,” inbred Hawja hillbilly Rep. Buddy Carter posted on Facebook. “This institution radicalizes students and pushes a left-wing agenda that demonizes ICE agents. The federal government should not subsidize anti-American education.” A TikTok video viewed more than 100,000 times suggested Good was “trained to fight federal agents” by her son’s school, while others mocked her as “the epitome of the modern-day liberal white woman” and questioned her decision to enroll her son there. The school eventually shut down its Facebook page and took down most of its online presence in response to the threats.
The MAGAts are even dumber than you think: A post by Fux Snooze moron Dave Marcus, who raised the alarm about the looming danger of “wine moms” was greeted with amusement by the New York Times’ Michelle Goldberg at his suggestion that so-called “antifa tactics” are being deployed across the country by “organized gangs of wine moms” to harass ICE agents. According to Marcus, “... we need to ask ourselves, quite seriously, if groups of people training and then executing missions that put law enforcement and the public in harm’s way may, in fact, be criminal conspiracies.” She noted that hard-right website PJ Media heeded the Fox News call and called the wine mom gangs the “greatest threat to our nation,” made up of a “group of unindicted domestic terrorists ’who are just AWFL: Affluent White Liberal Women,” with Goldberg observing, “The acronym is wrong, but never mind.” She wrote, “It took only weeks for conservative demagogues to direct their venom toward the middle-class women of the Resistance. We’re now seeing an outpouring of misogynist rage driven by both political expedience and psychosexual grievance.” Goldberg wrote, “In the right-wing imagination, these women are acting like harpies - an epithet often seen online - when they’re supposed to be helpmeets. Fox News’s Will Cain described a ‘weird kind of smugness’ in the way ‘some of these liberal white women interact with authority.’ For MAGA, ICE’s eagerness to put women in their place might be a feature, not a bug.”
So how fucking stupid is Cow College “perfesser” Hassett? This fucking stupid: Hassett went on “Mornings With Maria” at Fox Business Friday and announced Maladministration II’s “solution” to the housing crisis: “We’re going to allow people to take money out of their 401(k)s and use that for down payment,” he said. Trump “will put the final plan out in Davos next week,” he said, referring to the World Economic Forum in Davos. “We’re still talking about the mechanics of it.” Maladministration II is reportedly trying to find a “simple” way to allow the fund transfers without gutting people’s retirement nest eggs. (Which is impossible) Recent inflation data shows housing costs remain stubbornly elevated despite administration efforts. Critics warn the real problem isn’t access to down payment cash, it’s a severe shortage of available homes. Without more housing supply, loosening down payment rules could simply drive prices even higher. Jason Russell, managing editor at Reason, wrote on X, “I’m guessing this would be politically popular, but the effects would be: 1. higher home prices and interest rates for people buying their first home (especially for people who don’t have 401(k) savings or would rather, wisely, keep them for retirement) 2. higher home prices and interest rates for people trying to move up out of starter homes (...me) 3. w/ higher values on their homes, higher property taxes on seniors who want to stay in their homes forever. Basically the only people who benefit are people who sell their home and then don’t buy a new one (seniors moving into assisted living?) but for everyone else it sucks! BUILD MORE HOUSING.”
Diplomats from European countries, who declined to be identified because the subject is sensitive, said discussions are ongoing in capitals about how to push back against Trump. Easier options include delaying tactics, lobbying efforts among Republicans in Washington, sending allied troops to visit Greenland, and even a publicity campaign in America. But the possibility of cutting off European support for American military deployments has come up, including suggestions to take back control of U.S. bases. “Discussions are ongoing on how could we put pressure and say ‘Hey, you need us, and if you do this we are going to retaliate in some way. But at the same time, nobody wants to speak out about this.” Aside from Europe’s military assets, the U.S. also relies on Europe as a key trade partner and European governments spend many billions of dollars every year buying American weapons. All of these offer potential leverage if European customers decide to stop shopping in the U.S. In 2024 Europe approved possible government- to-government contracts worth $76 billion - over half the global U.S. total. The main reason Europeans are reluctant to get aggressive in public is that they see Trump’s backing as vital to providing viable security guarantees for Ukraine under any peace deal with Russia. Forcing the Americans to abandon those sites would have a “disastrous” effect on U.S. operations, with Ramstein in Germany in particular being a key launchpad for American deployments in the Middle East and Africa.
On Friday, Democrats in the Virginia Senate passed a resolution that will allow Virginia voters to vote on a redistricting map in the 2026 midterm election. Senate Majority Leader Scott Surovell said that events outside of Virginia left Democrats with no choice: “What you have before you today is a constitutional amendment that none of us wanted to bring to the floor, but circumstances beyond our borders have made it necessary. We worked hard. We worked diligently to establish a fair bipartisan redistricting process, but we don’t operate in a vacuum today.” Hakeem Jeffries said: “Democrats are forcefully fighting back. We have neutralized the Republican scheme to date, with the success of Prop 50 in California, a decisive court victory in Utah and aggressively pushing the extremists back in Ohio. In addition, a bipartisan group of legislators have stopped Trump in Indiana and Kansas. Republicans are now scheming to pollute an already gerrymandered congressional map in Florida. Democrats will not take our foot off the gas pedal until the nationwide GOP effort to prevent a free and fair election in November has been crushed.”
The Martha Graham Dance Company has cancelled its performance at the Kennedy Center. The troupe, America’s oldest, was set to perform at the venue in April as part of its centennial nationwide tour. “The Martha Graham Dance Company regrets that we are unable to perform at the Kennedy Center in April,” ithe company said in a statement on Friday. “We hope to perform at the center in the future.”

After announcing Friday that he would impose a 25% “tariff” on any country that opposes his proposed illegal invasion of Greenland, this morning Sundowning Grampa announced a 10% “tariff” on the European allies of Denmark, spewing on Lies Anti-Social:“We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years by not charging them Tariffs, or any other forms of remuneration. Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back - World Peace is at stake!” The “tariff” applies to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland; it will start at 10 percent on Feb. 1 and increase to 25 percent on June 1. The levies “will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.” The crazy old ignoramus concluded: “These Countries, who are playing this very dangerous game, have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable. Therefore, it is imperative that, in order to protect Global Peace and Security, strong measures must be taken so that this potentially perilous situation end quickly, and without question. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that! Nobody will touch this sacred piece of Land, especially since the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake.” Expert-on-Everything and permanent high school shitbird Stephen Miller went on “Hannity” last night and told the World’s Dumbest Mick, “To control a territory, you have to be able to defend a territory, improve a territory, inhabit a territory. Denmark has failed at every single one of these tests.” He and Gramps are both war criminals. I can’t wait till this dweebette “gets his.”

I find my $7 a month subscription well worth the excellent snarky analysis you provide. I try to subdue my vengeful and vindictive dark side, but it appreciates what I read here.
Thank you, TC. Good luck with the new computer... have patience....it isn't easy for old dogs like us to learn new computer tricks. Getting an exterior keyboard has helped my experience with Windows 11.
