Another day, another demonstration of the self-immolation of the Republican Party. The news this week has been unrelievedly bad for one Donald J. Trump. We now know that he was the author of the attempted coup. We now know he fully intended to get the 2020 election “overturned;” that he suggested law enforcement agencies could seize voting machines; and that, if elected in 2024, he will pardon those who violently attacked our seat of government, resulting in five dead and scores wounded.
Truly terrifying as well as possible. There must be much money involved…sloshing around to all these participants.
The shallow hucksterism of Rs is nauseating. They have found their mascot, and will gleefully overturn democracy in this country in service to power over.
There’s a pending collapse of this country unless voters support integrity and veracity.

While Biden sings the praises of MITCH MCCONNELL 🤮, and Madison Cawthorn sues to prevent the Jan 6 committee from obtaining his personal information and the Jan 6 committee has so much (criminal) information they can’t process it … I despair. Who is going to prosecute these traitors? Will we be able to seat a jury who could hear the evidence? Remember, 1/3 of the country has sworn their lives and futures to this disgusting dismantling of our Republic. WTH is happening? It’s unbelievable. Je suis desolate.

I live in Kern County the area that Kevin McCarthy is suppose to represent in the house of representing. My local paper just ran a piece from him about 7 paragraphs long all about now that President Biden had been in office for 1 year what a failure it is. He listed all of the things Biden and the Democrats had done wrong. He did not once state any thing he has done to help his people in Kern County or the rest of America. What a waste of representative. He is so useless except to kiss TFG!
It is difficult to know what to say. My head was spinning yesterday. And now Jim Jordan has been revealed to have spoken for 10 minutes with the Big Liar on January 6. There are so many involved in this entire situation it just totally boggles the mind and breaks the heart. But mostly it angers me. And I hope it angers every thinking American. The gop as a party has finally declared itself for a dictatorship, committed to one person (whoever that may turn out to be) rather than a democracy. Too many people are being seduced by the Wizard. I hope there will be a total unveiling of the former "president" and all his henchmen/women before it is too late. The thought of the gop retaking the house is just the worst kind of nightmare for the nation and the world. And frankly, if the instigators of January 6 and their congressional / state supporters are not called out and prohibited from ever seeking elective office again, we'll stay in this state of crisis for a very long time. Actually the crisis is going to continue for a long time, I predict, just because too many people have lost hope of ever having a place in this nation. I'm reading Fiona Hill's book and her analysis, to my mind, is correct - the economic dislocations that began in earnest under Reagan (and also happened in most other parts of the world) have led us to this moment of incredible anger, distrust, and willingness to burn whatever there is to the ground. Capital wielded by a few at the top has become the enemy of good sense and shared opportunity for the 99+% worldwide. The autocrats and dictators are happily getting rich while everyone else is getting "the business" and losing more and more ground every day.
