It is going to get worse. The Maga fools will ignore the essential framework of our nations government and continually spew their venom. When the former President in Name Only is busted, all Hell will break out. And then it will just end.

Years from now, we will reflect on how nuts it was that we were so preoccupied with such insane distractions. "IT" is almost gone. Every demogague has his day. And then he doesn't.

In the meantime lets not forget who supported the Insurrectionist in Chief. Never forget.

Your last paragraph says it all, TC. Thanks for the whole post and its account of ignorant, lying, incompetent elected officials in the House of Representative. The fact that NO GOP official has denounced these idiots shows that the WHOLE GOP is corrupt, frightened of T*, and no longer worthy of respect. We can only hope that the State of New York and, yes, the Federal Government are gearing up for the worst possible scenario, which includes militias armored and armed up, mobs on rampages, etc. (Side tangent: the Florida case of the School principal/teacher who "resigned" over Michelangelo's David is an unsettling example of how Charter Schools (bad enough in general) can become a tax-payer supported school teaching Evangelical Right Wing ideas. These schools have hijacked the word "Classical"; fancy language hides a radical agenda for "education" aka brain washing. I need to see what the "science" curriculum is about.......)

there's probably some way to actually find that stuff out. I'll try a few things tomorrow. and if anybody else knows how to penetrate this kind of bullshit, dig in!

all I got was "curriculum maps" and page numbers of their larger Curriculum Guide, but can't seem to access that. The school's curriculum is provided by Hillsdale College in Michigan, a well-known and self-described "Conservative College."

apparently, there was this whole deal about "notifying parents," which wasn't done in this case. and two parents bitched...one because she wasn't informed (a technicality, to be sure) and the other calling the art studied "pornographic."

just what we need in this benighted is a "parent's bill of rights." it's giving me a brainache.

Stranger stuff is still going to happen…the GQP has chained itself to the bloated corpse of trumpism because it’s all they have left. No governance policies, no sane solutions to real social issues, just trump and his dwindling bloc of voters…that’s all they got in the gas tank to keep their grip on power. Is it enough? Stay tuned…the trip down the rat hole is gonna get bumpy…

TC: Think of it this way: that letter’s a hell of an effort from a failed wrestling coach who never passed the bar exam. As legal reasoning, it’s utter nonsense and it betrays an aggressive misunderstanding of constitutional law and, you know, how government is supposed to work, but coming from The King of the Sauna it’s something to behold.

Thank you for focusing upon Gymbo and his fellow miscreants. We need the DOJ to add them to their list of compelled witnesses in the J6 grand jury so that we can begin to clean house.

If Jack Smith gets permission to go through Mark Meadows phone with its reported some 2400 texts and messages, Mr. Jordan will be getting a call, many of them..... As will all the other conspirators, maybe ALL of the Republicans in Congress, since there don't seem to be any who are objecting to the GQP's actions since Jan. 6.....

The entire RepubliQan party has gone off the rails, crashed at the bottom of the ravine, and jumped the shark all in one fell swoop. They are oath breakers, every last one of them, and are completely and utterly fucking nuts. Law and order my left butt cheek. Anarchists in suits.

TC, thanks for paying attention so I could enjoy a day trip today.

Mendacious Morons! I love it TC! They

only want to save their own rumps. After all, most of them are in need of a presidential pardon. And the only president they know will do it is trump himself. I wish Jack Smith could bundle all 4 of the current State and Federal investigations and throw the book at him. Although it may be hard to find a book in Florida, there are still plenty of them in DC. Something needs to happen with him soon. He has gone deeper into dangerous territory while bringing the crazies with him to do his bidding as they did on January 6.

"This is the most audacious assault on the rule of law by the Republicans." Also the most idiotic! This posturing is nothing more than bloody (can I say that here?) make-work. There's not a snowball's chance that any such legislation as they suggest would ever be approved by the current Senate.

A gift for "Gentleman Jim" Jordan from Alvin Bragg - a bucket of sand and a hammer so he can pound it. For the Republican caucus in the House - copies of the Constitution, with the important parts highlighted. For Jack Smith - a full video of Trump's Waco stampede, with the volume turned up when he confesses to what Mr. Smith went to Washington to investigate. For the American people - strong drink and patience..... These are a few of my favorite things.....

So glad Gymbo put this in writing, along with the other dumbwits on his committee and signed it; wet signatures the

voting. May their names live

forever in infamy! And let's thank

all the smart people who gave us

the Senate - if we can keep it -

where this kind of shite will die.

It's clear that two things drive the MAGAs, their mindless cultism and their own culpabilities, both personal and collective. Any future attempted strongarming by these semi-primates should be shrugged off and ignored with the same level of cheek they offered when subpoenaed. The DA's office has made their case for the star spangled FU and should rest on it.

My brain has been spinning for so long, it’s almost non-functional. And what you didn’t say, is that Fox traitors are blathering this putrid view of reality to the cult demons who are chomping at the bit for blood. Despite the fact that they have admitted, on tape, that they know they are full of Schitt. They all plan to destroy us. No science fiction, or horror story could compete with the reality that sane people have to live in today. Oh yeah, Germany in the 30’s. From “Adventurers of a Bystander,” by Peter Drucker. Author’s conversation about leaving Germany with acquaintance who is a low level Nazi bureaucrat. “Then he burst out ‘My God, how I envy you, how I wish I could leave—but I can’t. I get scared when I hear all that talk in the Nazi Party inner councils, and I do sit in now, you know. There are madmen there who talk about killing the Jews, and going to war, and about jailing and killing anyone who holds a dissenting opinion and questions the Fuehrer’s words.’

“‘It’s all insane. But it frightens me. I know you told me a year ago that the Nazi’s believed these things and that I ought to take them seriously. But I thought it was the usual campaign rhetoric and didn’t mean a thing. And I still think so. Now that they’re in power they’ll have to learn that one can’t do such things. After all, this is the twentieth century…..But I’m beginning to be scared. You can’t imagine the things some of the higher ups say to us when no one from the outside is listening.’”

Well, I can imagine , I read the rest of the book and I’m not in a cult coma. The evil is upon us. And we’re still waiting for “better angels” who aren’t coming to save us.

We must be our own "better angels". It's time to stop waiting for 'the Avengers'--or for any one superhero to save us.

We will all have to pitch in to save our flawed but always improvable democratic republic. I have written postcards...and am planning to donate, write, offer rides, help register voters...whatever I can still do to prevent the crazed MAGAts from taking over the reins of government.
