After finally convincing the IT “geniuses” at Substack that, no, I wasn’t complaining about my inability to edit my posts once published, but wanted to see the return of the edit function for commenters, it appears to have happened.
We all that need. function & thank You TC for your characteristic perseverance.
Now on other matters.Platform matters JAMS SF has confirmed that Substack Inc. has in fact received my notice of contractual Mediation I am mostly concerned about Slowness to removing Trolls that TC usually scares off.
But, list your Platform complaints & I will raise them with Substack Inc in my capacity as a contractually defined "Reader" per Substack's 2023 Terms of Use.
I'm glad to know you can do that. We are troll-free here because of "comments are for paid subscribers only" - the trolls are (luckily) cheapskates. Sadly, every Substack I pay attention to has had to adopt a similar policy.
But now that we know you have a position where they have to listen to you, we can bring our experiences on other sites where the trolls are still allowed to you. Good to know!
The edit and delete options are always good to have. We all need them from time to time.
It's how we all look like the geniuses we are. :-)
Flattery will get you everywhere! 👏🏻
It still doesn’t work in the app. It does work on a browser. But hey... still subscribe!
Yes, it is in browser only.
If I weren’t on board I would be now.
My less than nimble fingers and sometimes foggy brain thank you for this!
LOL! Going back to correct the missing letter. Proof positive of why we need this function!
Great!
My hero!!❤️❤️❤️
It’s the little things.
I always read on my phone and it shows that it is available. Thank you TC, you have enlightened things for us again!
Great news. I really needed it the other day......
It's showing up on other comments, so I decided to try it out for myself! Yep! Works! Thanks.
Nope, not on mine.
I only do Substack on my browser. I've wondered about the app, but if there's no edit function, fuck it.
with no edit function, I'm essentially worthless.
the app is useful for reading curled up in your chair. Sometimes I comment using it, but if I need to edit I just go to the PC to fix it.
